Playstation Vita

Not an issue here as I have my own gaming TVs.

You are likely in a minority though.

Actually as Dandy says, I can see more game controls for PS4 games (first party especially) being done with Vita streaming in mind.

Also, using the Vita as a mini PS4 may not be something I do all the time, but can see myself using it for bed time play.

I'd love to stream more content to the Vita! Can't imagine it'd be a problem, as I've mentioned before -- there's already loads of buttons on the Vita and the touch screens help too. Played through a couple of games via remote play, everything works well and I'd love to use the feature more (and vice versa, Vita on the TV!). I've even played remote play at work :D

Think about the amount of games on an iOS device with no button controls. On the face of it, it's impractical but it works and, as a gamer, I can adjust to any little foibles in a control scheme. Some controls could even be improved.

They can easily move some controls to the DS4 touchpad/ Vita screen from the two grenade buttons if they keep both machines and remote play in mind. Remote play means I can carry on watching TV (news or some shit that doesn't need 100%) and move a game on to Vita to carry on a game.

I had hoped more for PS4 games that used the Vita as a controller. I was thinking that all those WiiU games that would have off-screen stuff could get those bits ported to the PS4/Vita too. Now it looks like there isn't going to be any 3rd party WiiU games :/

Retro City Rampage guy released a sales breakdown. He didn't seem so happy with XBLA:

http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/29/where-retro-city-rampage-made-its-money/

Provinciano said he spent the most development time on the Xbox Live Arcade port, on a platform he called the most expensive. "Knowing what I know now, I would've skipped it," he said.

The dead or alive 5 plus demo still hasn't reappeared :-/ Quite disappointing, as I was tempted to buy it this weekend if I liked the demo....

If you've played it before, it's an almost terrifyingly accurate port of the console versions. There's some graphical concessions, but they're smart - polygons removed from features or backdrops you'd be less likely to look at.

If you haven't played it before, I recommend it highly. It's great fun - though checking a demo or the full game's usually a good idea before taking the plunge with pretty much anything.

I succumbed and got PS+ again. And then I bought Fate/EXTRA as it was also one of the Ghostlight offers. Not very far in but if you've finished Persona 4 then you may enjoy this. It has largely the same structure. But it's more rough around those edges and the translation seems weird at times. But this also gives the game a flair of weirdness. Shit is kind of strange man.

Please do note that I am not very far in. Things may change.

It didn't seem to get too much love round here, but I've been playing a fair bit of Retro City Rampage recently and it's proper brilliant. The jokes are a bit hit or miss but it has a bit of a Warioware, everything-and-the-kitchen-sink, kind of flavour.

Is Disgaea 3 worth £25? I can take Persona out of my Vita now and kinda fancied that to replace it, it's a series I've tried before having played the first on PS2 and liked the look of but it was too much of a pain in the arse switching cables around (PS2 version is one of the tiny number of games that don't work via component) to really get into it.

I bought Persona 3 Portable in the sale but I'm taking a break from the series for a while.

Surprised it doesn't seem to have been mentioned, but Vita did another 40k in Japan last week. combined 3DS was 75k but with Luigi Mansion 2 doing 270k+ launch sales and no Vita exclusives (all ps3 ports) in the top 10, thats to be expected.

It's quite clear though that the price drop has done wonders for sales, weeks after the price drop sales are still 4x times the sales at the previous price. How long before they do it outside Japan?

Not soon enough. The Vita's one of the best buys I've done in a long while, but there's no way I'd have dropped full price on one - went Ebay and got a 32 gig card for less than the machine by itself. Just means that Sony didn't make another sale on the hardware.

They deserve the sales, they just need to stop taking the piss with the pricing.

They need to get it down to 200 EUR with the 32gb card and a game. It'll sell like crazy if they can do that.

It's free on US PSN+ at the moment. That's not much use if you don't have a US account though, obviously.

Argh, why do they make you fanny about with memory cards for the different regions. I'd have signed up for a US sub right now if that wasn't the case.

It is good, though as it's cropped up on PS+ in the States I'd say the chances are fairly good it'll do the same over here.

It's also not significantly different to, or better than, the PSP version of the first game, so if you wanted to get into the series I'd probably get that for about 7 quid instead.

With Dimension 2 out later this year on ps3, the first is probably the best one to start with as D2 is a full sequel.

The story is an absolute load of balls though, so I'd jump straight into 2 and you're not really missing anything from that side of things. Personally, I found the first one to be pretty hard to play - the camera movement is different to the rest of the series or something, I can't remember exactly.

Port/Sequel of Space Giraffe please.

I'd rather have a proper sequel to T2K. Or Llamatron would be nice with twin sticks. I never did get along with the backwards Tempest gameplay of Space Giraffe.

Madness. It's crazy batshit mental yes, but that's a good thing.
