God, but MGS HD is horrible. Awful, awful controls, execrable script. I know Kojima has legions of fans, but both of these games were just not worth the download for me. Thank christ they were free. Deleted both within a couple of hours and fired up Gravity Rush to cheer myself up. And that is chuffing lovely. Happy again.

love the way you can now see all the other players balls in everybody's golf as your playing. really makes it feel like your playing together more.

its a shame the new courses arent integrated into the single player campaign though, but coming from the ps3 version i didnt really expect they would be.

Can you use the new characters against people who haven't bought them as DLC?

Last time I tried Everybody's Golf online you couldn't even set up private rooms, I assume it's moved on a bit since then.

Glad it's not just me. It's astonishing how poor the dialog is, not to mind the clunky controls and random deaths.

You lasted 90 minutes longer than I did. I thought Id give MGS another go as it was free but, nope, its still shit.

Imagine having paid £23 for the fucking thing though. Oh, and that croc swamp thing at the start of 3 was laughable pish, as is the gunplay, as is the movement, as is the generally nonsensical and massively overcomplicated backpack gear system (mental gear, amirite?). And the codec, christ the codec.

Calm down jonamok, go and play ToMB. Aahh, that's better.

The only thing that frustrates me a bit about ToMB is that there are times I think I had an awesome game, then I look at my score and I am all :(. Other times I think I did a bit poor, I look across at those numbers and :omg:

i think so. theres a big update, and then the courses and characters are just unlock keys.

theres a new turn based option, and you can make a room just for friends or password protect it etc. i havent tried it, but i assume you can set it up just the same as on ps3 where you get to watch each player in turn if you want.

I'm irritated at the unexplained delay of Dead or Alive 5+ on the European store. I could have had a copy on wednesday for 33% less of the price it'll be when it goes up for download, all because I'm growing attached to simply being able to stab an icon and play without having to lug games around with me.

The radio silence from their twitter feed isn't helping much either.

Nope. Not even a US release date (assuming it would be a little before). Sega being a bit tight lipped about it, there's bloody Twitter campaigns to get them to just state a date!

I imagine it's not on their top list of priorities, 500 people moaing over a social network. I personally don't think there's anything dubious about it, I mean, it's already had a bloody Japanese release. Add to that the recent upturn in Vita's fortunes (with the PS4 integration/sales increases, etc)...Summer, I reckon.

Thanks pal. Need some time to save for one anyways!

DOA5 Plus seems great so far, no problems with it (compared to 360 version at least, not played on ps3 yet). Unless you absolutely want a portable version Plus subscribers could just stick with the ps3 version though, most of the Plus content is available as a free update anyway.

All the HD collections seem like really logical fits for the Vita. I wants me some Devil May Cry 3.

I can see Sony releasing Ratchet and Sly HD for Vita. Both franchises have had/are getting dual platform releases of their newest titles and most of the work has already been done. Jak and Daxter is more of a surprise in some ways as it's a closed franchise with little likelyhood of a new entry.

The non Sony collections are more of an outside shot, Capcom are fairly quiet with Vita so far for example.

That's amazing news. The first game is awsome.

Yes. Yes it is. Me and my ex housemate completed the first Jak game in one weekend after we rented it. Collected ALL of the crystals and it didn't seem to do much. Bit disappointed with the sequels though tbh

I've been and bought P4G thanks to what's been said in here. Before I start though, what difficulty should I play at? I don't want to get halfway through and decide I'm on the wrong one.

I believe you can change difficulty during the game, which wasn't possible in the PS2 version, so there's less to worry about there. Also, Golden is more generous with its retries after you get KO'd, so I'd recommend Normal difficulty to start with, and then you can adjust it to suit if it's too tricky (difficulty modes have no impact on story from what I can tell, so you can tweak it with no consequences :) )

The last thing I heard about memory card speeds was in that Eurogamer article. I really would like a memory card that gives me more capacity than 32GB and, more importantly for me, faster access.

If I remember right the stock memory cards were between class 6-7 in transfer speed. I'd be willing to pay more for faster (Class 10).

It does need another test with a wider range of games and scenarios. That said, being proprietary media used entirely for one device, it's a bit hard to get true comparisons to other types of media. Is there a decryption process that needs to be accounted for? Is there a internal bottleneck?
