What other indies are on their way then?

Binding of Isaac, Hotline Miami, Thomas Was Alone, Frozen Synapse, Velocity Ultra, new Futurlab IP and The Witness for PS4 spring to mind.

I know :( must've been playing the same time as I got my 180 million as I was top of the leaderboard for all of 2 seconds

I was on the tube home after a hard day at work I saw you come online during my go I literally ran out of time as the tube pulled in at my stop. Got loads of Xp leveled up twice! Looked at the leaderboard... 41 million! PANIC RAGE ensued as I checked my stats 211 mill. Took a screen grab closed ToMB rebooted. 3G ftw at this point as I logged in and saw my score at the top of the boards. I have to say that is one of the biggest gaming rushes I've had. People on the tube must have thought I was some kind of autistic outpatient as I twitched at the screen of my Vita.

Gaming gold, thanks for the challenge my fellow ToMB mukers.

Oopps triple post combo....

Personally rarely find time for these games on big consoles so it's an.absolute Joy to see these games coming to Vita. I think these along with Persona, Soul Sacrifice and Killzone I've got enough to see me through 2013. Including my back log as well.

Maybe Sony needs to do a deal and get Minecraft on it :)

Presumably Microsoft's console exclusivity window ends in May — a year after release — so we might hear something around then. I imagine a PS4 version is more likely than Vita, though. I'm sure Sony are courting the game, in any case.

Personally I'd love to see Fez make an appearance. I 'finished' it on 360 but still had a lot to do, yet I never went back to it despite having it sat on my HDD. For whatever reason I have an easier time dipping in and out of games on Vita; maybe it's just because I can play them in bed and suspend them at any time.

Mojang's already hinted at it, which pretty much confirms it for me because usually developers keep quiet during exclusivity - or don't comment on rumour an speculation.

Been neglecting the vita a bit recently. No reason in particular but last night I went through my games and its really got some fantastic content at the moment. Would love them to open the remote play a bit more to some PSN titles. I have played God Of War, ICO and SOTC via remote play and i had no lag problems at all.

Metal Gear on PS plus? cool.

Downside, i never thought i would fill up my 32 gig card but there I was, deciding which games to delete. Goodbye PS1 games (apart from Driver and Metal Gear Solid). I'll probably download them on my PS3 so there 'are there' to transfer as and when if I fancy a play.

Respect to my fellow TOMB players, can only look at your scores and think, WTF! I thought my 5 1/2 million was quite good!! :(

What power ups / totems do you use if you dont mind me asking?!

A Vita version of Minecraft would be pretty amazing, it plays like a dog on iOS and I've already got the bigscreen version on PC.

It plays like shit on Android too. I despise on screen controls.

Would love to be able to have on PS3 (love the Xbox version) and continue on Vita. Online too, with chat! Can you imagine? I'd double dip on that in a second.

I struggle with ToMB. I can only get above 5m by using the blast type bonuses. Yet everyone who is good seems to suggest using:

Purple Totem - the gem, score, time bonus - Orange Totem

Yet my scores suck with them.

Any tips on keeping combos going? Should I look at holding back a move until I need it? Or just try to clear as many as possible as quick as possible within a combo?

I've started playing ToMB again after ask the love in this thread, don't seem to be able to get the massive scores that are being posted on here.

I guess I need to level up loads as I'm only level 10 I think.

Feel free to add me.

Yeah you're not going to get the mahusive scores until you've levelled up all the totems and bonuses. Concentrate on levelling up the orange and purple totems, and the score frenzy, gems, and gem points bonuses at 1st.

For high scores, I use the set up above, all maxed out. Because there's no destructive bonuses the purple totems kick out a lot of time crystals. Always look for purple/orange totem combos. And shuffle the board if you need to. When you've got a combo going, try and only match stuff at the top of the screen, keeping some bottom matches to use when the next set of crystals drop from the top

Best advice you'll get, it's how I roll to. Although I may drop back to exploding powerups just for the Nuclear blast trophy.

Can't believe I have only just noticed these things...

Gravity? What on earth does that do? Also when you get to destroy gems using the back panel, is that actually useful? I have never seemed to find any real advantage from it.

The gravity thing makes the gems come in from a different side rather than top when you tilt your Vita. I don't use it.

When you can knock out gems from behind I tend to try and hit the ones that are chained to free them to use, or knock out gems so that I can better match up for purple/orange totems

Alright.. so can you buy MGS and Tombi and keep them on the memory stick? Have memory stick prices come down to normal prices yet? Best to get an EU/US/JP machine?

Thinking about one as the 3DS never grabbed me (owned one for a month or two).

Yes, you can DL titles from the store and save them to your memory card, either direct to your Vita, or to a PS3 and transfer them. This is handy as you can use your PS3 (if you have one) as a hard drive for your collection and transfer when necessary. You can back them up to PC as well and have your library on there, if you are running low on space.

No, memory card prices are still pretty stupid. :( I understand Amazon are the cheapest place to go for 32gb @ £59.99. Shop around for smaller ones.

As for what region to use...personally, I went with US as PS One titles run faster and with no borders, there were a couple of games I was interested in that aren't available in the EU, the prices are generally a little cheaper and releases sometimes come sooner. Whether this is still the case, I'm not sure. The only small issue is that you can't buy with a credit card, you have to buy US PSN credit from an online retailer and credit your account that way. I use these guys, they send the code via email usually within the hour: http://maximuscards....ilitem?p=197939

You can still buy/rent EU titles and play them on your Vita, but you won't be able to buy any DLC and sometimes not play online (but there will obviously be no issues with a US copy).

It looks like Tomba/Tombi is not yet available on the EU PSN store (see rather angry comment section here! http://monkeypawgames.com/games/tomba/), but is available on the US. Not sure if this would swing your decison either way...

Do you have a PS3? if so, have a read up on PS Plus, might be worth getting. http://blog.us.plays...ee-for-members/

Just to be clear (I didn't realise this for a good while) to activate a totem you need to match gems of the same colour, so for the orange totem you need to get the orange gems, once it's active you'll see the totem appear on the bottom right, you need to get orange again to activate it's power. So in this case you get orange once to activate the orange totem, then your next move must match at least 3 orange gems, this will activate a time bonus.

When you enter breakout mode (back panel to break the gems) focus on breaking locked (chained) gems, time gems (if you are running low on time) and totem combos - so get purple active, then strategically knock out gems using the rear touch so you can can match 3 purple gems and activate the bonus.

That's given me a few ideas. When i get breakout mode I batter away on the back like a demented pianist. Never even considered a more targeted approach!

I'm not sure about the scoring changes. Now it seems like a vast amount of your score comes as a bonus at the end, and the amount of bonus pretty much just scales with time. What's the point of that?

The other changes are good though. So sick of getting a time bonus with 1 second left and the clock running out before it got applied.
