Playstation Vita

Kurushi Final is a great PSOne Classic that is well-suited to a handheld.

I loved that on the PS1 and forgot I have that as a DD on PSN. Will get back to it after I finish P4G.

Worth noting too, that if you have a PSP you can get I.Q Mania on there which is basically a remake of the original for PSP. It is Japanese but was easy to negotiate with a lot of English text.

Vita haz too many games. Seriously. I have AC:R in the slot, neglected, whilst I find time to play Urban Trials, MLB The Show, MGS HD (soon from PS+) JSR, plus my daily gaming sesh of ToMB. That's even before I get to PSP games. PS+ is continually adding to my digital pile of shame.

It's a good thing I didn't buy Persona 4 Golden on cart, otherwise I'd probably glued it in the slot.

On several occassions I've taken it from my shelf and flipped open an empty case before realising that it's probably still in the machine...

Nothing amazing but US Vita users are getting four free games from tomorrow as part of the birthday celebrations

http://bit.ly/Z8WnnT

To continue the celebration this week, we’re pleased to offer a special gift for PS Vita owners—by giving away four classic games for free exclusively in the PlayStation Vita Store! In addition, you’ll also find a brand new set of downloadable PS Vita games on sale at a great discount. The promotion starts tomorrow and runs through March 11th.

Here are the free games we’re giving away for PS Vita:

Wild Arms (PS one Classic)

Patapon (PSP)

Piyotama (PSP)

Patchwork Heroes (PSP)

I always wanted to try Wild Arms and other three are apparently reasonably good PSP games.

If you have a UK PSN account, upgrade it to PSN Plus and get WipEout 2048 and a few other for free!

Tempted... but I would have to use it over the year, to be sure.

Don't tell him that AFTER he's brought MGS HD!! :)

Is MGS HD free on PS+? (UK)

Sales have "Quadrupled" in Japan.

Well, I finally bought one :)

Interesting, that would suggest in excess of 40k. The price cut had only been official for four days and Soul Sacrifice is out this Thursday so I'd expect similar, if not bigger numbers next week.

Yeah, I expect higher numbers, too. Everywhere here is continually sold out, with people asking for systems all the time. It's been a huge surge, in Tokyo at least.

So one of the games I had on my PSP was Disgaea:Afternoon, which I never got far into before I sold the PSP, but I certainly wanted it back on the Vita.

Except it isn't on the PSN store when you browse it...

...at least on the Vita.

Searching via the Sony website itself, it's there and fully compatible. Bought from there, and then downloaded directly from the Vita. No PS3 transfer jiggery involved.

Another of those 'so you know' tales.

Yeah MGS HD is free on plus tomorrow in the UK

Ah, well, I have the US version (almost impossible to find anything PAL here in Japan). I might well join Plus this month, then...

Stupid question, I know, but there's no way I can play this on my PS3, is there? i.e. it's only the Vita version on plus...?

EDIT: Good god. Properly checked out Playstation Plus, and it's excellent. I think I'll subscribe this week. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Cunts! I dropped 6 quid on Ghost Of Sparta last fucking night!

ALWAYS... I repeat ALWAYS wait until a Wednesday to make a purchase. Never buy on a Tuesday night.

I've made that mistake before, it's a sore one to take.

I'm thinking of getting a Vita for all the games I've acquired on PS+, but I already share my PS+ PS3 account with my brother. Would I be able to put my games onto a Vita? Or does that compromise the 2 accounts thing? It's all a bit confusing. Ta!
