You could always get £35 of PSN credit for £28.99 and get EDF if you want it. It probably wouldn't be any/much cheaper if you could get it on a cart.

Yeah, but it still seems too much to spend on a digital title I can't resell and will take up another £5 in cart space.

Probably not a logical position but hey.

No carts, US account so download only for me and hoping Sony release a 64GB memory card soon.

I didn't think using a US account prevented you from using UK retail titles? I could be wrong, of course.

The carts are region free but any DLC that comes with them is region locked, so any codes in the box can't be redeemed and any DLC I buy from US PSN won't work with a UK retail copy of the game and vice versa.

Not that it stops you playing well, most cart games.

This is why I use a UK account (aside from Jp Plus), far less hassle. Plus given the frequent sales compared to the US has worked out quite nicely. Although it helps I have suitable systems for the ps1 etc games

The sales on the UK store are a lot better and more frequent but now Amazon.com do $50 card the price of new games works out a lot cheaper. My main reason for sticking with a US account was the PSOne RPGs that don't look like they'll ever get released over here like Xenoblade and Chrono Cross that I missed first time around and prefer to play on a handheld instead of the PS3.

Technically it probably isn't an issue - the problem is that Sony might have to review their agreements with the developers of those original games to offer the feature, as it's presenting them in a new way. It'd be no different (for example) to if they wanted to add a feature to play Resident Evil in a film noir grainy black-and-white filter; you could do it easily in emulation but Capcom might object (daft feature I know, but principally similar).

Yeah I figure there might be some sort of red tape somewhere but surely stretching them out, offering filtering etc. is 'presenting them in a new way' just as much as a 60hz option would be?

Bit disappointed by that whole thing as there are a fair few PS1 titles I would've splurged on but it serves me right for not doing enough research I guess, just assumed it'd allow multiple accounts as a worst case scenario. Also a shame about the Ridge Racer situation since it's either the apparently compromised new one, 50hz R4 or Ridge Racers which I gather isn't a patch on the sequel which is nowhere to be found. Again I should've checked properly beforehand but it's taken the sheen off the purchase a bit, I don't feel like I own a console until I've played Ridge on it

Moans aside, the machine itself is fucking lovely (I'd never seen one IRL before), but of course you all know that. The first time I booted up Wipeout I couldn't believe it, 30fps or not.

If you get a little feeling of regret every time this topic comes up as you're not really getting enough use out of your Vita, I am willing to help you out and buy it from you because I'm just a nice guy like that. Send me a PM, Vita neglecters.

I bought Persona on cart as I spotted it in Grainger for 30 quid before it was even out on PSN and couldn't resist, but it probably won't leave the slot for a good while. I'm actually glad, as the 3.5GB download would consume a big chunk of my already overflowing 32GB card.

I couldn't get into it on the PS3. I was a big Disgaea fan on the PS2 and played it again on the PSP, along with the sequel. Not that it's bad on the console, just that the quick play time and convenience of being portable outweighs the experience on a big screen. I'm back playing it as I've nothing else to play at the mo so I'm back trying to clear some of the extra features.

I'm always totally surprised by how it almost feels like cheating sometimes, throwing level 9999 characters around (or even just getting there) but then it'll quickly smash a team up with some new tactics that remind me why it's such a good, tactical RPG

Mine's at about 29GB full but the problem I have is that the home screen is limited to 100 icons. All my ps1/psp games can't fit on there and it's killing my OCD!

Hope an update to add folders etc is coming soon

Ah Grainger games, I always forget about them, thanks for the reminder, I'm trying to avoid Amazon these days and Shopto are out of stock, everywhere else wanted £35.

I also order the Ovivo tablet SIM for £15 giving me 500mb per month ... forever?! still sounds to good to be true but I guess on a tablet it's easy to rack up over 500mb and thus they get to charge you a (reasonable) fee to top up another 500mb (which comes out of the £15 credit already on your account). On a Vita however I rarely used the measly 150mb of the 250mb that Vodafone offered so I don't expect to pay anything ...ever!

Which makes me suspicious, if it sound to good to be true it must be!

Well, the Vita has sold out in most places across Japan, following the price slash. I managed to get one from in Akihabara last week (went for a 3G version). Bought the US version of MGS HD collection, and managed to find a 16GB card, too:

Absolutely love it. I last played a MGS title in 1998, that being MGS itself. I can just about remember the story and the controls. I can't believe it's been 15 years! Christ. Anyway, I've only just started MGS2, and I'm loving it so far. Debating picking it up on PS3 as well, so I can sync my saves and play on the big screen with big sound.

I also have Wipeout 2048, but I will need to somehow get hold of a UK cart, so I can download/install the HD/Fury pack as my PSN account is a UK account.

What other titles do you guys recommend?
