Playstation Vita

Personally, the handful that sit on my Vita are Persona 3 Portable, GTA: Liberty City Stories, Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, Pixeljunk Mosters: Deluxe and Jeanne D'Arc (if you've got a US PSN account).

I've read the God Of Wars are good too, never played myself.

Jeanne D'Arc  I love that game so much. I have no idea why, but I've never seen another SRPG that's so simple, intuitive and, dare I say it, relatively easy (with the possible exception of Valkyria Chronicles - VC2 on PSP is also worth a download). Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics were impenetrable for me so this was the perfect antidote.

The God of War games are well worth a play. Think Uncharted Vita vs Uncharted PS3. Less massive set pieces, more corridors and enclosed spaces, but still a very enjoyable game - each are only around 6 hours long so don't require a massive investment of time.

I know this was covered somewhere in the thread a while back, but I'll ask anyway.

Lumines soon. My cart in the PSVita is Lumines! Which means I can replace it with something else when it arrives on Plus. But I want to keep my save/data, whats the step by step process when going from cart version to digital?

I ponder what to replace it with...Disgaeia, Persona, MvC3, SFvT...

It's slightly tricky not knowing what is going to head to PS+, or at least, any time soon. ;)

Marvel! I'll be getting it when I get paid next week then you, me and Qazimod can take to the internet and create the first Vita Marvel lobby PSN has seen in about six months.

It turns out Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX does not show up if you search PSN for 'Street Fighter' or go to PSP Games -> Fighting, you have to specifically search for Alpha 3. GG.

When I was first trying my Vita I was actually really impressed with Marvel 3's online functionality. Spectatable online lobbies that weren't unplayably laggy felt like crazy witchcraft to me, although my last handheld fighting experience before that was probably PSP Alpha 3 anyway...

1. Download digital version of Lumines

2. Remove Lumines game cart

3. Play Lumines as if nothing's changed

Didn't it get posted before on here to universal panning?

Yes it did.

I don't know, did it? It's a new ad.

No it isn't. It came out last year, and was massively panned for being absolutely atrocious.

It's very old. I used it around ... October time when I was teaching ethics and morality in the computer games diploma I'm teaching.

That said the kids didn't attack it as much as I did. Most thought it was fairly funny until I told them that I was marking their unit and the first laddish comment would get them a referral for the entire unit :) (not that I would have. Navigating Moodle is a right faff at the best of times but it's good to let them know the ground rules of an educational script once in a while... If they quoted a laddish quote from here using the correct Harvard referencing - also a faff but I don't make the rules :( then I'd have had to give them a bonus point for effort at least I guess).

I don't think the point of an ethics and morality course is to make sure everyone on the course has the same ethics and morals is it?

Someone on Neogaf who is 'in the know' is saying Sony are courting popular indie games for Vita HARD, he mentioned FTL specifically.

FTL would be fucking amazing but Nintendo should be hard on that too, the dozy fuckers.

Here's everything he said

I've heard from inside sony that they are targeting a bunch of 'big' indie games. I think it's reasonable to expect Fez, Dust an elysian tale, limbo and others on the machine this year. If they are making that public tomorrow that's awesome.

The guy i was talking to is a producer, he asked me for a list of games that I thought would work well on the system saying he would pass it on. FTL was at the top.

I don't know if that means anything, but atleast one person in there knows it's wanted :)

There are still big games coming. In fact they have something as big if not bigger than Assassin's Creed coming this fall from a western third party. But I can't be the one to make that reveal. Hopefully it's mentioned tomorrow.

Frozen Synapse and Binding of Issac are already confirmed, aren't they? If not - oops ;)

They are definitely going after minecraft. That isn't news, obviously - I think we can assume everything and everyone is. I have no idea if they got a deal done or when MS's deal runs out... but I do know they are actively looking at it.
