Playstation Vita

OK, this is rather odd.

I bought Little Big Planet Vita a while back on retail cart. It was second hand so bought the Network Pass from PSN. Anyway, I had to sell the game a couple of weeks back to raise some funds.

I go to get Wipeout 2048 today on PS+ and notice I have LBP Vita in my notifications menu ready to install. Therefore I install and it seems to be the full game. I check the store to see if there is a demo or something, but alas, there isn't one it seems to be the full game.

Now this is the weird bit. Next to the item in the notifications menu, it has the PS+ symbol next to it. So now I am wondering, could it be the PS+ option for March? Or maybe it is due to replace Gravity Rush and or Uncharted?

Wish I had taken a screenshot of this, but so far it all seems to be working.

WipeOut is on today for the PS+ folks, isn't it?

I had a wee go of Uncharted yesterday and find it difficult to articulate just how much I loathed the first half hour or so. Constant tutorial popups, wildly unnecessary front and back touchscreen bits and overall just a great example of the type of game you probably shouldn't bother making for a handheld.

It might be a full game trial? (I have no idea)

FYI 3G owners - this works well:

http://ovivomobile.com/our-offer/

You need to buy £15 credit initially - but you get 500mb of data a month with no further top-ups. It's slightly less of a deal than last month (when it was a tenner) but still good for a one-off payment and background data for daily comps etc.

Confirmed working on the Vita.

Is that 3 month's worth of 500mb data? If so I think you can get a better deal on Amazon for about a tenner you get 1gb a month for 3 months. Admittedly that's significantly more than you would ever need

It seems it's 500MB per month for life, after the initial £15 top up. Barmy!

I imagine it's an earlybird offer to get the name around quickly with very little advertising.

Really? I tried to find out how long it lasted and assumed the £15 credit would get used up over 3 months at £5 a month.

That's only if you go over and need more data, as far as I can tell. I've signed up, anyway!

Sounds like a good plan. I guess their business model is reliant on the fact that a tablet will hit the 500mb limit every so often. I've rarely hit 250 on Vita with the old Vodafone dataplan.

This may sound like a stupid question but how are you supposed to control in Wipeout? Its all floaty. It gave the tip to airbreak at corners but it seems you have to be extra gentle otherwise you lose total control again.

And yeah, first Wipeout. Well at least it's pretty.

I think this is an issue all the Wipeouts have, narrow courses and unforgiving handling. I can do pretty well in the lower classes and the satisfaction of nailing a lap etc is pretty good but I find it impossible once you get to the higher classes.

One for people with proper skills I think.

Just turn all the pilot assists on until you get used to it.
