Apologies for this question again. If I buy a 32GB memory card do I simply backup my existing 8GB to my PS3, swap the cards and then restore from my PS3 to the new card? Is there anything that doesn't get moved over (DL games, saves, SEN/WiFi settings..)?

Sync your trophies on the Vita and PSN before the you swap cards. That's all really.

Todays' been a bit of an exciting day in Vita land, we've had Tearaway and Killzone mercs videos and now this: -

Valhalla Knights 3

PS Vita, Fall 2013 – The fourth title published by XSEED Games in the popular Valhalla Knights action RPG series, Valhalla Knights 3 features a robust character creation system and brings intense seven-on-seven party-based combat to the PS Vita. Players can select from one of seven races and one of twenty job classes such as Fighter, Mage, Thief, Priest, Akatoki or Archer, while also equipping two sub-jobs. Players can adventure with a party of their own making or brave the wilds alone and seamlessly engage in real-time combat to earn skill points for upgrading and unlocking abilities unique to each job class.

Ys: Memories of Celceta

PS Vita, Fall 2013 – An extensive reimagining of (and pseudo-sequel to) Ys IV, one of the only Ys games never before released in the west, this title puts more enemies on screen than ever before and features the largest, most non-linear overworld in Ys history, boasting superlative graphics and a triumphant evolution of the fast-paced gameplay that has made this series a timeless action RPG mainstay. As the game opens, long-time protagonist Adol Christin finds himself alone, dazed and confused in a strange land, and must piece together his memories of how he got here and why, all the while struggling to determine whom he can trust.

Hopefully Xseed will bring these to the UK?EU as well if not I'll be importing.

Cheers

Can anyone explain how PS+ save uploading works on the Vita? My PS3 uploads new saves once a day but I can't see the equivalent option on the Vita, there is an option under Settings -> Account Management but it doesn't let me specify a time or anything. Does it upload everything or just saves which are made to the memory card rather than the game card?

Double Eleven will be working with Mode 7 on a console version of Frozen Synapse. The new title, ‘Frozen Synapse: Tactics’, will be released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita via the PSN store.

February 1st, 2013

Frozen Synapse: Tactics Announced

Double Eleven are bringing Frozen Synapse to PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®Vita.

After recently announcing their new digital publishing branch - D11 Games - Double Eleven have now revealed that they will be working with Mode 7 on a console version of Frozen Synapse. The new title, Frozen Synapse: Tactics, will be released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita via the PSN™ store.

Originally released in 2011, the critically praised Frozen Synapse has sold over 430,000 copies to date. Its unique style of gameplay offers something new to the strategy gaming genre and is a refreshing change from modern traditional RTSs.

“Frozen Synapse for us represents some of the best work coming out of the UK and onto the PC. We know there’s also a great console game in there as well waiting to be realised.” said Mark South, COO for Double Eleven.

Demi Gounari, Art Director on the new project, said “We are thrilled to be working on Frozen Synapse; our vision is to reinvent the game’s aesthetics and interactivity in the same way that Mode7 reinvented strategy gaming with this title.”

Mark added that “we don’t want to give too much away yet, but I will say that Frozen Synapse: Tactics is not simply a transition of the original onto console; we will be giving it a complete Double Eleven makeover.”

Paul Taylor, the co-founder and joint MD of Mode 7, said, “Frozen Synapse proved that turn-based strategy doesn't have to be about people with misguided beards prodding tanks into lonely hexagons. We have put our trust in Double Eleven to translate our original vision for a PlayStation audience; they have impressed us with their commitment to creating a completely new version for Sony's awesome hardware. We can't wait to see what they come up with.”

Shahid Ahmad, Senior Business Development Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, said “We have a fantastic relationship with Double Eleven and have supported their publishing model of bringing hit indie IPs to our platform. As Double Eleven’s first self-published game, after releasing LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, they have chosen a perfect title for PlayStation.”

Frozen Synapse: Tactics is scheduled for release in 2013. Keep an eye on our website, Twitter and Facebook page for updates.

That's not a bad list of confirmed titles (some may be Japan only right now) and I imagine there'd be the usual FIFA and Madden. I still think there is a fair amount that will be announced over the coming months too. Most of those hopefully should hit 2013.

Apparently, he was the guy who sorted out a few deals including the FuturLab one.

A Persona 4 review appeared on the GamesTM website yesterday

Broadly speaking, this is the same game we’ve played before on PS2, but the addition of fresh personae and social links, and the sheer range of activities available at any one time did much to dissipate our expected fatigue. It all adds up to the definitive version of one of the finest JRPGs ever made: Vita’s portability makes it easier than ever to get caught up in this expertly woven web of secrets, lies and adolescent angst.

Score below:

9/10

Details on the Store sale here:

PlayStation Vita celebrates its first year anniversary this month and what better way to celebrate than with a range of game discounts on PlayStation Store?

For two weeks only, starting 6th February 2013, you can claim as much as 50% off selected PS Vita games! So head over to PlayStation Store or Sony Entertainment Network Store from tomorrow and treat yourself.

The discounts are quite generous in places, but I'm not hugely keen on the offered games, and you might be able to find similar prices online...

So, I was thinking about a relatively easy way I can use my Vita with another account. I thought of just buying another memory card and switching between them, but it can't be that easy can it? Will it still mean I have to delete stuff / go through set up every time?

Escape Plan and MLB for me in that sale.

Would have gone for Unit 13, but I have a feeling it will be on PS+ sooner rather than later. Escape Plan might be also, but happy with £5.19 to lose out on getting that for free.

A few of the games are barely cheaper than they were a year ago. I'm finding it difficult to decide if this is a good sale or not tbh. Between games I've already played on cart or already own digitally and the likelyhood of some of these games ending up on Plus, nothing is screaming at me to purchase. At that price anyone without EG should buy it, but I think most people have already done so from the last 2 or 3 sales it's been in.

Although it makes it easier for me to finish what I have before buying something else I guess.

Does anyone think there's much of a chance of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection appearing on Plus? This is what I mean by Plus cannibalising potential sales - I'm scared to buy stuff in case I get it free now.

I assume 3rd party stuff gets done on a publisher by publisher basis - have any Konami games been offered yet?

It's £16 on shopTo just now.
