Ha. True..I bought GDF 2nd hand on here, EDF 2017 preowned so I guess I feel I owe them for the literal 100+ hours ive played their games. Theyve just taken it all back in one 34.99 hit.

Current progress is about 1500 HP for my trooper, 740 for my pale wing, currently rocking a level 43 thunderbow 20 R i picked up by farming mission 2 on hardest, and level 35 MX rapier. Ive scraped through a few levels on inferno too but not got any good loot from it yet...its very hard to escape it with 700 hp.

Am I the only who would have preferred GDF over EDF? Even so I really want this but I'm going to try and restrain myself and wait for a price drop / PSN+ giveaway.

Unfortunately I have to wait 2 weeks for it. God bless PS+ though, got a whole bundle of games waiting for me already. I think I'll just buy Everybody's Golf and that'll be me set for the year.

I've got a loan of a vita just now - its a lovely wee thing. He's told me to scrub whatever I want from it and I'm going to load it up with some PS+ goodness now.

Urge to own my own one rises - Pretty much dependent on that souls game. When is that due?

I don't think a western date is set but its Japanese release is in March I think. There is plenty to play in the meantime and you can pick up a few games quite cheaply.

True, i'd have loved GDF but that's alread out on the PSP. Ive not even bothered with it with only one analogue.

Well that's the thing, it's not a "new" EDF game.

That depends on your definition. If you want to be (no offence) closed minded, then no its not, youve see all but 7 of the levels. But..pale wing is a whole new game...she has 150+ new weapons in there, obviously the flight changes the whole thing. Seeing the old levels from a new perspective is brilliant. Farming is much more fun as you zip round picking up powerups. Her guns are brilliant aswell, the same set as GDF with some additions. I'm happy i get to experience the 2017 levels with her rather than a new game...which we get soon anyway.

I'd argue an EDF game doesnt really need to be that new anyway, the levels arent the star of it, the action is. Youve got the new guns for the infantryman, who now has 200+ weapons..hes got lasers, new turrets, new alien weaponry etc. Then youve got the online stuff. The fact that it's portable, this is going with me everywhere at the moment. I cant overstate how fun it is to use the palewing.

God of War definitely. Also Borderlands if Gearbox can persuade Sony. Portal would be nice. Micro Machines remake. Tekken Tag. Pro Evo, and a proper new MGS game. A Football Manager game would chew my life up, as would a Trials HD type (Urban Trials?)

Woah, woah, woah. Back up a moment. GDF came out on the PSP? Is it available as a download too, if so, is it Vita compatible? I could grab that and map the buttons to the other stick then.

It was a Japanese only PSP release, you'll have to see if it's available on JPSN digitally.

But as the PSV upgraded version of EDF3 includes PaleWing now, it's a relatively decent substitute if it isn't available.

As a nintendo fan I thought that would be right up your street. I just got it on ps plus, am i right in thinking games that were on it change every month..so you cant get them free any more? But once youve downloaded..you keep it til your sub runs out?

Almost right. You only have to 'purchase' them and check out. As long as you've checked out, you can download whenever you like.

I think it's just part of the tutorial at the beginning of the game, I haven't bothered with it at all afterwards. It's a good game, yeah. Make sure to give Retro City Rampage a shot, if only the trial to see if you like it. Loads of 8 bit NIntendo references.

There are, what, three bits of furniture you have to collect? Maybe four? It's over nice and quickly.

In other news, I just finished Virtue's Last Reward. By which I mean I've completed every ending,* got all the files, and had my first platinum trophy in the doing. Spent pretty much all of Sunday, then every evening after work going through the different timelines and solving all the rooms. Talk about a compelling game! Now, where's the sequel already...

(also, can we have its predecessor on Vita now, please?)

*ignoring some of the end-of-line betrayals which I couldn't bring myself to do

Yes, but it's done later in the month than ps3 plus. It's in the middle so if you own both you get plus content every two weeks

Ive had it a week and got gravity rush, uncharted etc..i take it that's just come on?

I must say fair play to Sony for the PS+ stuff they've been doing for a good while now. Admittedly I tend to play games straight away so a lot of the free games don't really appeal to me (on the PS3 side) but you get an awful lot of value for the money. Certainly seems worth it if you have a PS3/Vita.

I find that I struggle to play on the 'proper' consoles now. Everything has been on the Vita of late.

Sony just need to find a way to get it into more people's hands. Once it is used, you can't help but be swallowed up by all it has to offer.

Do the retail games change on PS+ for Vita? It only seems to be Uncharted & Gravity Rush all the time with just PSN games changing. I'm getting tempted by PS+ but I only have a Vita after my PS3 died, so I don't know if there'll be enough retail games available to make it worth purchasing.
