At 29 year old, I just feel like I'm too old to be playing a game in which high-school melodrama plays a significant part of the gameplay/story. At least, that's how I felt about persona 3.

Well you missed out on one of the best games of forever, then. Still, it must be fun being so mature - enjoy your mortgage and your pension plan, death will be around before long.

(On a more serious note, Persona 3 might be set in a school but the writing and the characters are a serious cut above most of the nonsense that passes for plot in videogames these days. Plus, it's a portable game, are you worried people will be looking over your shoulder while you're playing it and judging you or something? I'm ten years older than you and quite frankly I couldn't give a shit).

Still can topup my Vita online. Can i do it in a Vodafone store?

I seem to remember the trick to top up via your Vita; go through the network operator app. But, make sure WiFi is turned OFF. Once you top up you should see the network symbol change to 3G.

So EDF then. I've been playing a few hours of my usual mental EDF method Ive earned 150 armour, basically nothing, but ive been doing level 2 repeatedly and bumping up the difficulty..managing to get better weapons out of it..surviving by rolling and using my squad. Ive now got a good selection of HARDEST weapons for my pitifully low character that i've no right to have. Level 30 to 40 odd rocket launchers, shotguns and stuff.

There's only one wave of ants on the level so its quite survivable if you're careful. I've got a new level 32 AR alien weapon called heatray, non-reloadable, and I'm using a level 31 rocket launcher called cascade 2. Soften the ants up with the rockets, then mop them up with the heatray. Really amps up the excitement for me, escaping the level with loot you really shouldnt be getting..and makes the lower levels easy to blast through.

Just for anyone new to it, you can roll forward by tilting the camera at an angle down and 45 degrees to the ground, hitting jump and you'll roll forward. I hope this version comes out on home systems too.

Has anyone else had a problem with using a US Vita with a Virgin SuperHub?

I'm sitting here with my UK Vita connecting fine to the network, however the US Vita isn't even picking up the signal (it is picking up all the other networks in the area though). Didn't have this trouble before getting the SuperHub, so I'm a bit unsure as to what's causing it and google hasn't been much help so far.

Am I missing something here or does Everybody's Golf truly not have a pass and play mode?

It certainly has local coop but are you meaning just using one pad? I've never tried to do that myself so I'm not sure if it's possible.

Can anyone let me know which extra courses come with the Complete edition? I've already bought one but if all DLC courses are included it will probably be worth my while to buy it again as I didn't bother with the dinosaur course.

I think he means the Vita version (we're in the Vita thread aren't we?). The PS3 version certainly has single-pad-multiplayer as I've used it before. To answer the other question, Someone in the other thread said that the Complete version has all the extra courses and modes

I'm finding Virtue's Last Reward really engaging. It scratches a similar itch to Phoenix Wright, despite a marked difference in tone, and taken up that series traditional quick-go-in-bed-oh-crap-it's-3AM slot for me. Unlike the Ace Attorney games I'd say VLR's puzzles are rewarding in their own right, though, rather than often being an obstacle you're simply glad to move past.

As for the narrative, I almost feel like I can't comment on it despite being 10 hours in. So far all I have is a big bunch of loose ends that hint as to what the overall conclusion might be. Given the game's enigmatic manner there's definitely a lot of potential for the ending to be a bit unfulfilling, but even if that ultimately is the case my experience so far has been intriguing enough — both in content and structure — to justify itself.

Oh, I kind of regret renting it, though. The game saves to the cartridge, so whilst I'd like to buy my own copy I'm not sure whether to press on with this rental or lose all my progress. It's annoying that Vita games can't switch save location.

You could always get PS+, upload to the cloud, then redownload it once you get your hands on a new copy of the game... a bit of a pricey approach, mind. And I've never actually tried synchronising with a different cart of the same game.

(for whatever reason, while the Vita won't see on-cart saves for the purposes of backing up to PC, it sees them when uploading to the cloud)

Security. The entire file structure and handling is designed to prevent hacking. I think most games save to a user memory card though. For games that save to the game card it could mean they could potentially become portable hacking devices.

You can backup all saves in online or user memory card saves in offline archives, but not manipulate individual saves. Given the degree the PSP was hacked by having an open file system, I can't really blame them.

I've been a Plus member since it started, so that isn't an issue. Honestly I assumed I wouldn't be able to move the save to the cloud as you can't back it up to a PC/PS3, but Content Manager does allow me to upload something. Whether that something includes the saves, and whether they'd be compatible with a different copy of the game... well, I suppose there's one way to find out.
