Sony are giving away free PS Mobile games.

http://blog.eu.plays...g-starts-today/

Should be six in total over the next six weeks. The first is Samurai Beatdown (a rhythm action sidescroller) and is on the Vita store (Mobile section) now.

Thanks for the heads-up, I've never heard of PSM before. Having an Xperia Play does have its uses.*

*Emulators aside.

You do understand that Plus isn't a weekly thing, right? There's monthly content, on top of which they throw in extras — such as discounts or the occasional freebie — if and when.

No I did not know that. Where can I find this information on SONY's PS site? They have the most confusing web-space.

Yeah, it's brilliant. My only gripe is having to fast forward bits of story you've already seen when you inevitably run through again.

It is a good way to refresh your memory of what's already been, I suppose. Would like to be able to skip and not fast forward though.

Virtues Last Reward is amazing. Went to have quick go earlier and was just totally engrossed. Only stopping as I need to sort some tea out for the boy.

Agreed. Absolutely brilliant. Just started in a couple of days ago. Felt guilty all day about betraying someone though! :(

Patrick on Giant Bomb has been talking about these games - I have no interest in them but I do remember him being very glad you could skip to the new bits in subsequent playthroughs of VLR, something which wasn't possible in 9999....

I have a simple rule for these occasions:

If you don't like the price for something, don't pay it and wait for the sales.

Now I'm sure the immediate reaction to that is something like 'well, der', but it's surprising how much people here moan about pricing and then buy the thing anyway. All that does is get them thinking people will pay it in future and we end up with the current high price of digital games that we have now. Budget price for a budget game I say, especially as there are no manufacturing costs being digital only.

Aye to be fair I'm guilty of that but after playing some EDF I don't really care tbh. Having a blast :D

Well..my thinking on this stuff is more like..your most precious commodity is time, not money..i want to play it, so i'll buy it. My main concern is how it controls on the vita sticks, i'd hate to have it turn out to be crap after 35 quid laid down.

It controls well enough but yeah the aim isn't as precise as say using normal sticks but it's by no means awful at all, standard controls on a Vita shooter tbh. I've completed 5 missions or so now and it hasn't really been a stickler for me. My bigger problem is my hand getting cramps from the Vita so I ordered some Hori grips from amazon but that's more an issue for me than anyone else.

I sat there finger over the option on round one...

I chose betray, because Phi told me it was the only option. I honestly didn't know what to do for the best. I felt awful when it was confirmed if the BP reaches 0, you die.

Im debating holding off and picking up a 32meg card tomorrow before i do it..and maybe a ps plus sub to make good use of it.

I'd go for a 32GB personally ;)

Large card (even 16GB is struggling to hold things now) plus a PS+ sub makes this an instant win of a system.

Ha. Ok 32 GB it is. Ugh...PSN is a nightmare to navigate. I want to change my email address and credit card, and top up 35 quid. 20 mins and im still no nearer any of those. Cant change the details on the vita, and the top up amounts are 30 quid then 50 quid.

finally found link online..really hard to do on the thing itself.

And now i cant sign into the device after changing my email address. Is it always this awkward?

Ok so i had 2x accounts..one US account tied to my hotmail. Id forgotten..so changing my UK account email address to my hotmail has now completely killed that account...and also my vita and ps3. Cheers Sony. No EDF for me.

Just spent the last 3hrs or so playing EDF 2017 Portable, the first 20 missions, and it's as awesome as ever :D Really great port, framerate seems more stable as well probably due to the graphics not being as good/sharp as the 360 one but it's early days yet so still plenty of time to tank yet :D Haven't tried the online coop yet as noone I know has it but all reports point to it being really good and very stable, but no firsthand experience on my part yet. Really happy with it so far.

Oh and the vehicles are just as diabolically bad in this as they were in the 360 one

You don't need to top your account up with £35. Just try and buy the items that you want and it'll take the exact amount as long as it's over £5.

Their systems have always been atrocious, but allowing you to switch to an address already associated with a different account and then wiping out your previous account is quite impressive, even for Sony. Ouch.

And im at work and their services are daytime only. Emailed the buggers:

Hi,

I have a problem with my PSN account. The PSN username is “popkins” and the associated email address was

[removed]

That email address has since been lost, therefore I attempted to change my account to my hotmail address:

[removed]

It seems this hotmail address was associated with a US based PSN account I had set up to download a demo from the US PSN store a while ago. Now I’m unable to recover my 7 year old UK account “popkins”, and I can’t sign into my Vita or my PS3. My Vita is asking for an account associated with the device:

I basically want my UK PSN account back and associated with my hotmail please and the ability to log in to my Vita and PS3 with it…Please help! (as I wish to buy the new EDF game from PSN)

Kind Regards,

me
