Sumioni next week - any interest?

Yes, but it gets a mauling on Metacritic. However, I think mainstream professional reviews (and thus Metacritic) are balls so I'm more interested in user feedback.

In similar tradiional japanese stylings, the Vita version of Muramasa is released in Japan in March.

Velocity Ultra FTW!! There's a link in the Velocity thread about the upcoming release of a Vita native HD style upgrade to Vita coming in May (ish). Trophy and leaderboard support included too. I think I just creamed my pants a little...

EDIT: damn you Epcotman!

Quite a smooth move on their part, get the Mini given away for free on PS+ build some momentum behind the game then release an HD remake on Vita and guarantee sales. I'm sold tbh and quite happy to pay.

I have the Japanese cart. It's not brilliant. It's short, visually patchy (not as attractive as it thinks it is) and it's all rather dull. I suppose for 8 quid it's probably borderline worth it, and perhaps I'm missing some of the nuances in the translation, but generally it seems a bit shit.

So on this new Velocity Ultra, i assume it's tap the screen to teleport?

Doubtful.

It will use front touch for menus and we’re considering using it for Teleportation, but really it doesn’t work very well in practice.

Velocity’s levels are designed for extremely fast-paced action, and forcing the player to use the touch screen in these levels is not going to work. We will experiment with putting bombs on the right stick though, as a lot of people have asked for that.

I'd still like the touch teleport option. I've had way more deaths from running out of space and ploughing into a crossbeam while failing to land a teleport into an adjacent room than for all other deaths combined. Make it an option please devs.

So, finally managed to get my hands on one of these this week, and like everyone else here, I'm honestly impressed with what the system has to offer. It's just a shame that not that many developers are taking advantage of it. As good as Persona 4 was to close the Vita's first year, Fifa 13 and Black Ops Declassified were awful. So fucking awful. You had there two titles that could have been major system shifters at Christmas, two titles that could have been massive advertisements for cross-play - who wouldn't want a portable version of ultimate team that could sync up with the home version, complete with card-gifting and trading via near? What did we get instead? Two breathtakingly lazy rushjobs. Absolute tragedy

That aside, I can't wait to get EDF as soon as I scrape together enough for some electronic pounds. In the meantime, Street Fighter x Tekken is a wonderful fightingmans game - crossplay (and fat pathetic Megaman) is what made it worth the purchase for me. I wouldn't mind more of the same with a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 port, please.

Is there is list of psn IDs for fellow vitamans? Wouldn't mind some people to fight streets or compare montezuma scores with. Mine's OhNoItsBedwin :)

LiMuBai - add me.

As much as I love my Vita, there are a few games I would absolutely love to come to it:

Trials HD/Evolution

Borderlands

Mark of the Ninja

Tekken

Pro Evo

A decent champ man or other football manager sim

SSX

If a couple of these were even just ported across, I'd live the next few years a very happy man indeed :)

I'm theqazimod - still haven't got SFxT yet but if you pick up Ultimate MvC3 on the cheap I might still be playing that (badly.) :)

As for wishlists... Rez, SFIII 3rd (surely only a matter of time for owners of hacked machines), Tony Hawk's HD and Viewtiful Joe would be pretty nice. I can dream...

feel free to add me: bradigor1981

As for wish lists:

NHL (even if it was an experimental thing and not a full sim type game)

Shatter

PixelJunk library

Chime

Mark of the Ninja

FFVII HD

Mirror's Edge (new game that uses the gyroscope as your view)

Super Meat Boy

Some original IP I haven't even thought of yet.

a GTA game (even though I am not a fan, it would sell systems)

Viewtiful Joe

I loved Shatter, and FFVII HD would shift systems if it was a Vita exclusive too

Square announced FFX HD 15 months ago. There has not been any information or screens since and thats just an upscale. I'm not holding out much help for FFVII which would need to be built from the ground up

Now, I'll be the first to bust out the omg emoticon, but frankly Square don't have the balls these days :(

God, not VII-2. For a start Advent Children fills that role. I think it's a world they've clearly made the most of what with Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Advent Children (plus a couple of novels) and Dirge of Cerberus.

Now, the once rumoured handheld adaption of Before Crisis could be nice, but its long past being worthwhile.

I got a 16GB memory card and have been trying to transfer my P4 save to it, but it's not having it. I uploaded it to the cloud last night and it's sitting nicely there, but when I try to download it to the new card I'm just getting an error (80010002, another of those endless error numbers that nobody seems to have a solution for when you look online). I've done all kinds of things like format the card with and without P4 in, reinstall P4, etc. to no avail :(

Edit: Never mind. After repeatedly telling me it couldn't copy, it then asked if I wanted to overwrite (though nothing was there). When I did that it worked. I guess it was just PSN being flaky.

I got a Vita for Xmas and a shitload of awesome games. So impressed with it, I wasnt expecting much and everything I've played has been great. Just played 4 player Frobisher Says with the family, I was in stitches :D

Going to add all those who posted their ID's recently, mine is MotiVater.

I'd settle for Crisis Core at this point. Seems strange it's not avaialble to download.
