NFS is both excellent and cheap, 25 quid in store in game or 22 online. It is miles better than I expected, keep forgetting I am playing my vita and reaching for L2 and R2

Quexex I am going to beat you at something eventually!

Good luck chasing those 4 million speed points I racked up!

So, I have just finished chapter 17 on Gravity Rush, so have three more to go (I think). It's an odd game really, I want to finish the story, but have no intention of doing the challenges. Never have been the type to have to 100% a game like that. When it has a story as the focus of the game, that is more than enough for me and thus far it hasn't felt like I needed to do the side challenges to upgrade Kat at all.

I hope it did well enough for Sony to push a sequel, with a few minor adjustments to the controls, just to tighten them up a bit. I did get it free from PS+, but it is a game I would have gladly paid for.

I might save the challenges for if there is a time I have nothing left to play, but I have so much still. Chronovolt is next, before going through the single player of Little Big Planet, then Rayman, followed hopefully by Persona 4 Golden should it be released here when those are done.

Vita has no games my arse.

Currently sat 17th on the leaderboards with a score of 3,148,742. I always start to panic when I get to about 3m as its gets crazy frantic!

The first thing I did once I saw my 170th-odd score was scroll to the top to see if any of you lot were on it, and spotted you on page 2!

I still don't understand how you 'die'. I was doing quite well and everything seemed to be going really well, and then, blam. I assume it's the left/right bars filling up to the top? My screen wasn't even that full.

Yeah, it's the pressure bars at the sides. Once they reach the top, you're done. Expose and slide over the vents at either side of the screen to reduce the pressure and buy yourself more time.

94th in the world with just under 2 million. I have some work to do before I can challenge Rushy's score, I think :P

Chronovolt is a waste of space, nothing other than the art style redeem it. Plain awful mechanics made worse by a terrible framerate, possibly the worst game I've played on vita so far. Thankfully it was free.

61 in the world with 2.42 million on my second go. First go was only 360k, but then it just clicked as I realised the crucial importance of getting that first pressure release valve open. Awesome game, very easy to get into a flow. Cheers again Rushy.

I picked up that Treasures Blitz thingy over the weekend. Doesn't seem too shabby but I'm not to sure about the weird tournament overlaid on the usual match three gameplay.

Can someone please explain.

The Vita is definitely becoming my pick up gaming device of choice (out doing my iPod touch).

I'm holding off picking up stardust delta as it may arrive on plus (and I picked up stardust portable for free the other day) but what other pickup and play games (similar to iOS time wasters) see worth bothering with?

The tournament is weekly, if anything it just gives you a reason to go back time and time again to try and better your friends. Rather than having just a single static leaderboard where you reach a point, then cannot go any further. Plus it rewards you with more gems based on where you finish.

There are a few playing, but new tournament started yesterday, so imagine more will post within the week.

My only issue is (but don't let it put you off) the higher you level up, the more chance you have of topping the leaderboard. However, it does give you a reason to play as much as possible, as you try to level up to catch the same buggers at the top every week :P

I think this is a good thing but the Vita and psp are starting to merge in my head. The vita used to look all shiny and special but now it just feels normal. I can't even remember how it looks different to the psp. I think this is as a result of me playing it so much even if it has mostly been p3p.

As pimped by Rushy on the previous page, Surge should definitely be on your list. Really nice twist on the usual match-3 mechanic, less than the price of a pint, and fantastic fun.

I'd recommend a couple of their other games too, Fuel Ticaras and Beats Slider. Both ridiculously cheap on PS Mobile.

Coconut Dodge, no so much. But 4/5 ain't bad, Futurlab.
