Ok. I like it. I suspect if they'd used the Lounge puzzle room instead of the crew quarters on the demo I'd have been sold quicker. Interesting things are starting to emerge.

be sure and beat it properly, if it is anything like the original the vast majority of the plot is only revealed on the final play through. I am trying not to over play it, I want it to last, ill be interested to hear your impression having not played the original (not required at all from what I have heard)

on and Curtis I have had VC 2 on mine since day 1 (side loaded from PSP/PS3)

I have to say the controls are a pain, the L/R for rotate was ok on the PSP but feels crap on the vita as the second stick is wasted and you cant swap them :( . Unless the psp emulation has had the same button config upgrade as the ps1 emulator?

Well, I've just ordered the white US Vita + Assassin's Creed + 4gb Memory Card + 3 months Playstation Plus bundle from Amazon.com for a total of £150.42 (including postage and prepaid tax for customs, though not including the ~£5 fee Natwest will charge me for currency conversion). I look forward to trading the game and card towards a bigger memory card come their arrival early-mid December.

Excited!

Virtue's last reward is awesome. Just completed the first AB game.

Agreed, reviewing it and some of the twists and turns are fantastic. At one point i actually shouted out 'you fucker' to an empty room when someone betrayed me. Really clever structure and a great story that gets under your skin.

Not round here. Oh Sony why can't at least all of Europe be one region? I am so weary and tired of all this regional bullshit <_<

It's not available to buy from the Vita but bizarrely if you browse the PS3's PSP store it's in there and listed as Vita compatible.

Curtis how did you set stick two as rotate?

am I missing a control scheme or something? Or have they updated the PSP emulator?

I still havent got around to beating VC 1 but want to play VC2 on my Vita at some point.

Also Strider, did you play it fully to completion for the review, dont spoil anything but does it have an epic mind fuck at the end like the original?

I bought a vita for Persona 4 Golden. Even before launch I knew the vita would most likely flop a bit. Expensive sony portable (as in expensive to manufacture) in a market of Nintendo and app stores. I knew it would struggle. I also already had a PS2 slim and Persona 4. But I got the vita for this one game.

Which arrived from videogames plus today. Console purchase justified. The game looks incredible, even though it is a port, wat a port it is. Crisp visuals, the soundtrack pumping through the headphones. So much nicer than playing it on nasty SD-O vision via the PS2. Everyone should get this. It is a perfect fit for the console.

If you hold on the touchscreen in-game, a menu comes up in which you can map the shoulder buttons to the right analogue stick.

Today felt really positive for me with the Vita. Got PS+ working so got a couple of new games with that, bought the awesome so far Sine Mora, have JSR to get and now Valkyria Chronicles 2 potentially. After a bit of a wiggy few months it's nice to feel a bit excited again.

Do we know if Strangers Wrath is a cross buy title? I already picked it up on PS3, but would much rather continue it on Vita.

Unfortunately not. JAM mentioned it on Twitter. Never played it myself so I'm hoping the vita finally gets a decent fps. Oh and no cross save either their save games are 3mb cross save has a 1mb limit apparently.

Absolutely loving NFS Most Wanted. This game deserves so much more praise than its getting for what it's achieved on a handheld. Great game.

Now off to try and download Valkryia Chronicles II. Wish they would release III one day over here.

Well, this is pretty neat. That Vita bundle I mentioned earlier? Turns out there was more to it than I realised - just got an email from Amazon with, alongside my 3 months PS+, the code to unlock Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. So that's two new games, 3 months PS+, and a 4gb memory card - plus the actual console - for £150. Well pleased.

Only downside - the game (and, presumably, the PS+) will be US versions, so it looks like that'll be my default account after all. Or maybe I'll just need to get a second Vita in the future...

Aye, things are looking very bad for the future. For me, the games already released justify the purchase, but I don't see the console having much of a future short of a miracle (though I've not seen how it's currently doing in the Western markets). It was purely an Amazon promotion, mind, their penultimate Black Friday deal of the day, so it was a relatively exceptional deal.

I took up that same offer. Annoyingly the the 3 month PS+ codes are three seperate 30 days trials so I have to input credit card details to use them and Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is pretty crap from what I've played of it so far.
