I can't seem to find anything on the EU blog

Oh just one more thing… as an added bonus, because we think it’s worth celebrating the launch of the service we have secured 20% off a range of PS Vita titles for the first week of the service. • Super Stardust Delta and Advanced Star Fighter Pack Bundle
  • Top Darts
  • Little Deviants
  • Modnation Racers: Road Trip
  • Reality Fighters

Is there a patent on the memory cards? Wondering why the likes of San Disk haven't made any. Or the lack of chinese knockoffs.

I believe so. Although the fact only about 19 people own a Vita is probably a bit of a factor, too - I suspect if it sold twenty bajillion every week someone would find a way to make knockoff versions very quickly.

How big is Gravity Rush? Ie. Do I need to panic buy a proper-sized memory card at lunch?

Gravity Rush is 1.482 GB & Uncharted is 3.416 GB. I got these figures by trying to download them after "buying" them. Is there a better way? It would be useful to know how much space you need before buying things (although in this case they were free with Playstation Plus).

I'd say it is a wee bit expensive at £11.99.

It's mispriced, down to £7.99 now.

Jesus, I've picked up a 3 month sub to PSN+ in the US (seemed reasonable, as you get FFTactics and JSR in that over and above the same games as the UK PSN+ sub). I also bought P4G and Sine Mora. So I now have two Vitas, each subbed to PSN+ in two different regions.

I then realised that a US PSN+ sub means I have access to the PS3 games as well (some are different). I then realised it's a Steam sale starting tonight. Then I realised that the roaring sound in my head was my own screams for mercy.

Right then, question time:

1. How much of a ballache is it switching PSN accounts (from different regions) on one Vita?

2. How much is P4G on the US store?

3. Where do i get $ PSN credit from?

Thanks in advance! :D

1) it's too tricky to bother doing all the time. If you've got the cash and commitment for it, then a second Vita and card is the way to go. Just create a PSN account with a fake US address and add cash to it via pre-paid cards. Some things won't work if they're IP locked (movies, Music Unlimited etc) but you should be able to buy and play games no bother. Clearly you'll have to use a different account to your UK one, so you won't have a unified trophy count (if that bothers you).

2) 40 dollars.

3) You can buy them from Amazon US. Use your UK account, add a US billing address (make one up) and then you can access PSN cards and also some cracking deals on PC games (download keys).

The stores are quite different. There's stuff on the US store that isn't on the UK store and vice versa. The prices are variable, some things are more expensive, some things significantly cheaper.

Another option you have is to import P4G from videogames.ca or somewhere. It works out very reasonable, and apart from DLC the game will run fine on a UK Vita. It should patch as well (I run Japanese games on mine and they update fine). I doubt P4G will have much in the way of critical DLC, so it's a good route, plus you could sell on the game and make back some money when you're done with it.

Ta. I don't have space for Uncharted, but Gravity Rush should just about fit on my 4GB card I got with it.

For lots of games it says the size in the blurb, or the specs/features list I found. But if it doesn't say, there's no way of knowing as far as I've seen. Which is stupid.

Persona 4 Golden will be with me tomorrow. :D

Silly question; where on earth do I sign up for PS+ on the Vita?!

Silly answer - they way I did it was through content manager(!). Click on "online storage" and takes you through the signup process if you're not a PS+ member already. Surely there's a more logical way though !?

(EDIT: It's in the store now, wasn't first thing this morning though)

Making what is now essentially a download-only current-gen console with a maximum of 32GB of storage space with the tiniest-fiddliest easy to lose, ridiculously expensive memory cards is the best idea ever.

You can at least copy them to PC and only put the ones on the card that you need that day/week.

Still not fun of course.

I think PS+ is going to make that inevitable, it's almost cheaper to buy the games than it is to buy the memory to save them in. But it's not exactly a great solution. They could just have put two memory card slots in, if nothing else!
