Playstation Vita

FW 2.00 seems almost as important as the PS3's 1.80 firmware. Lots of little improvements here and there (notifications are granular, maps is more useful, Near almost becomes understandable, etc...) Browser speed/standards compliance seems vastly improved (can't really compare to iOS device since I haven't got one of those)

Now only these points remain:

* folders (or some kind of clear archiving solution wrt the game saves & games local cache data)

* DLNA compliance (so that photos, videos & music can be streamed from a PC, no langer making a copy first a necessity)

all went without a hitch - love this little machine even more now

If anybody wants a code for that tag it game thing, just reply and I'll give mine away. No idea why they sent me one, surely they know I only have a wifi vita so can't play it?!

Same here. You can simulate the experience though by going out with a few cans of Buntlack, tagging the local bus stop and taking a photo of it with your non-3g vita.

I really, really want to get Everybody's Golf, but it's going to be the free game next month isn't it.

I would recommend this game to anyone, and if it isn't the free game, you'll have lost out on some brilliant play time with it! For just over a tenner, it's a huge bargain. Most played Vita game here too.

I updated both Vitas in about 10 minutes and my internet involves each packet being loaded on the back of a trained carrier pigeon and flown to my router, where the packet is unloaded by a team of lethargic elves and ferried to the computer on a barge which runs only on Thursdays.

Anyone springing for Playstation All Stars Battle Royale (Christ that's a mouthful)?

Reviews are trickling in and, as usual, are as disparate as you might expect, with some saying it's a competent fighter that effectively sidesteps the whole 'blatantly ripping off smash bros' thing by offering an interesting fight system, some saying it tries to be a serious fighter in a silly game shell so fails at both and others saying it's a shameless cash in. Another common criticism is that, for a game that celebrates all things playstation, it surprisingly lacks production values and the sheen you'd expect on a flagship game.

I must admit, I do love me a bit of smash bros style rumbling (must be one of the few that bought, played and loved Kung fu chaos) and whilst the roster here may not be as iconic, memorable or - let's face it - suitable for this kind of game, the whole 'buy it on ps3 and get it on vita free' thing, with most reviews agreeing that the vita port is stunningly close to the ps3 version (although whether that speaks to the power of the vita or a lacklustre ps3 version remains to be seen) is a cracking offer. The game also offers online cross play across devices, as well as being able to use the vita as a controller for big screen multiplayer shenanigans, persistent saving and play across both devices...it does sound like a lot of thought and effort went into things to make it as accessible as possible and I really hope Sony do this more with ps3/vita games.

What do you guys reckon?

Bah this was my biggest complaint with the beta and i was hoping it was just placeholder stuff. The menu design, music and general tone was totally soulless, if they were gonna totally crib Smash Brothers they should've added a whole load of unlockables and collectables too!

I'll still get it as found the game enjoyable mind
