Having bought Riiiiidddggee Racccerrrr! from PSN what with the sale, finding it fucking inane that you have to download everything separately. At the moment (I'm still not finished) that's 30ish times you have to slide through menu's clicking each individual car, track and song dlc.

It's even more nuts that the downloads stop if you stop from staring at your Vita for a minute/if the Vita goes idle.

What the crap.

Edit: I mean, they bothered to make a distinction of the 'Gold Pass' version. Why the hell not put it into the initial download?

Edit 2:Having closed and opened the PSN store, it doesn't display what I do and don't have, either. To test, I re-downloaded a car I have already, and it happily did with no error. Despite it being in the game already.

Edit 3: And yes I know one of the responses will probably be 'well you might not want to download all the song tracks, even if free! But that's not the point. The option to download what I paid for (a full game edition) should be there.

This isn't a uniquely Vita issue, the DLC for Valkyria Chronicles II on PSP is listed as one download on the store but then you actually go to download it it's about 15 separate downloads.

Welcome news on the 2.0 front, the web browser has been significantly overhauled and is now a 'small app' so it can run at the same time as a game (without using the twitter workaround).

Not so convinced I need 'another' email app though, I would have preferred Lovefilm/Netflix (still not in the UK) or iPlayer tbh.

I fancy a new JRPG. What's available on the Vita in the PSP store that doesn't have an insane grind and has save anywhere so it can be played on the train without heartache? I'm playing through FF7 again but it's really no good for a commute with the save points spaced out like they are. I already have Persona 3.

I'm really enjoying Trails in the Sky. It's a lovely little game with turn based combat and bite sized missions. And you can save anywhere.

I was looking at video reviews of that one earlier. At the current price it may have to wait until pay day though :) For now I'm going to give Corpse Party a look

From what I understand (bearing in mind I didn't play 999), you essentially take control of 9 people who have been kidnapped and told they have to cooperate to solve puzzles or be killed, a la Saw. It's getting rave reviews, if you put much stock in such things, and has bags of replayability with seperate endings per character, as well as endings dependent on your performance throughout the game.

Hmm, so, with all the 'big games watered down for the small screen' being pretty much duds, it looks pretty fucking barren this holiday season. Is there any hope the Vita is still going to be saved any time soon?

Persona 4 Golden is out this week. That's like drowning, desperately hoping the lifeguard will come and rescue you and then finding you're borne aloft to the shore on the back of rainbow dolphin unicorns being directed by Neptune, Aquaman and the entire cast of the Snorks.

Content manager can now transfer over wifi to PC

cloud saving (PS+ only I assume)

PS1 game display options (streetching etc) have been tweaked I think seem better

Friends area improved

friends request can have message

and tons more I havent found yet... Seems like a fantastic fw update.. pleasant change for a fw update that makes significant differences that arent adding more ads (MS grrr)

Got mine updated this morning. Roll on Gravity Rush and Uncharted tomorrow.

I just preordered this but I can't figure out what sort of gameplay it is. Any idea?

Not a clue, sorry! The trailers don't really give much away in that regard. I imagine it to be like a deadly game of Crystal Maze. I know it's heavily plot driven as it's all about figuring out who kidnapped you, why, what connection you have to the other victims etc, but as for actual gameplay - third person game that switches to puzzle screens would be my best guess
