COD's alright- can't get onto the multiplayer as I've got 'insufficient nat' -I don't even understand what that means and the game doesn't offer any clues or advice. Doesn't even seem to try and log me in either.

So I can only really judge the single player, and the levels really are short. First level was done in five minutes, second one in three, third one in five again... I can easily see the single player campaign being over in an under an hour. There was one bit I kept screwing up in the second level at the start, and when I eventually got past it I was grumbling to myself about the lack of a checkpoint.... but then realised that was because I had actually reached the end of the level. There's also a timer that's constantly in the lower right hand corner of the screen, telling you how long you've been playing the level, which is just annoying. The cynic in me wonders if they realised how ridiculously short the levels were and added a timer in at the last minute to suggest that they were designed for time attacks.

Hostile mode is okay, waves of enemies attack and you have to kill them. But compared to say Perfect Dark and it's bot modes and options, it's really rudimentary.

I think for a budget title that would be fine, for something that's going at £45 it's a bit of a joke. PocketGamer loved it though.

Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified is a cynical, half-baked, tired little mess of a game, and Activision knows it. We didn't get a review copy of the game in before launch, or even on launch day. We had to go out and buy our own copy – such is the entertainment giant's faith in it.

I'm glad we did, because hopefully we'll save a few potential punters from squandering their hard-earned money on this garbage. You'll need to be the world's biggest fan of the series to derive any enjoyment from this lazy first person shooter offering....

...If you thought that was bad, then perhaps the multiplayer is the worst offender. Though - criminally - only on a technical level. Which is to say: I spent two hours trying to play this aspect of the game, and managed to get in only five matches in that time. Declassified just doesn't want you to enjoy its online. Ever.

Everything about Declassified is a massive middle finger to the fans. It's a £45.00 mistake for you to make this Christmas, driven to purchase it on a wave of excitement from Black Ops II on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

It serves no purpose but to frustrate and annoy, with lacking single player, little use of the potentially fascinating BLOPS universe, and almost totally broken multiplayer.

Ouch. Have to say I don't hate it quite as much as the Pocket Gamer guy, mainly because as a Vita FPS it streets ahead of Resistance, although if this was a console game I'd probably not bother playing much more.

How do you sort the nat issue? I don't even know what nat is. :(

edit: googled it. Not much help for me as I can't access my router to change these things. Bit of a kick in the teeth that it's okay to download the game over the wireless but not play the main part of it. Could have at least stuck a warning in before downloading it, considering the price.

no nat issues here on virgin. And that review is basically wrong.

If you like cod you'll get a lot out of it. If you like fps you will too.

Multiplayer was steady as a rock for me....no discernable lag, just good fps fun really.

Is it worth £45 ? probably not...especially considering the short single player / time attack focus. But you'd like to think that was by design rather than a way to spin out the game length.

Bought Little Big Planet Vita yesterday. It's lovely, and this is coming from someone who didn't get on with the PS3 versions. I'm not overly impressed with the over reliance of touch screen stuff, but the main game plays great.

The timing does BOD few favours as a game. Coming to it straight from BO2 accentuates all its drawbacks. The controls are as good as can be expected (better if anything) but everything else feels about five years out of date.

As a handheld FPS, it's not like there's anything better. As an advert for Vita being comparable to the home consoles, it's another wasted opportunity.

So I rented Blops from Lovefilm and it arrived today. First thing I had to do was download a 409MB patch

Okay, so it seems to play well, but is that really all there is to it? 10 'time trial' missions? I tried the first one on Veteran but ended up getting annoyed by having to watch the opening sequence to the level every time I restarted, as there doesn't seem to be any checkpoints in the missions? So in actual fact, it's no better suited to a handheld, they just seem to have cut it down so they could shit the game out in rapid time. I restarted on recruit and finished the stage in five minutes.

So yeah, it's like a really shit Unit 13 so far.

How long do the full-price games stick around for on PS Plus? Thinking of picking up a three month sub, but would like to time it so that I can play two sets of full-price games in that time period.

Most for a month I think but some they leave running for ages. In the case of Vita Gravity Rush and Uncharted are in the hanging around for ages category according to the PS blog.

Yeah, I'm six missions in with 36 minutes on the clock, only four more to go.

I'm not buying the whole 'it's on a handheld' excuse either, it's just shoddy, especially for £45. Activision obviously knew they were going to slaughtered for it, which is why they've held it back from review. It's a shame because I think the gameplay is pretty good- controls work really well, it feels like COD, but every mission is over so fast and they're so short that there's not much joy in replaying the same few stretches. Just feels like a missed opportunity for the Vita, and considering how poor Assassin's Creed was as well, it makes me feel like publishers just don't have faith in the console and ended up scaling back the titles to save cash, which doesn't bode well for the future.

I mean, Unit 13 was brilliantly thought out. There are different kinds of missions and the scoring differs between them all, and you constantly have to change tactics.

In COD, they've made a few short, shitty levels and they've decided (at the last minute, I'm betting) to put a timer at the bottom to try and justify it all. Finish the levels as quickly as you can lol! COD was never about rushing through the stages, especially on Veteran. Fucking shite.

No LittleBigPlanet Vita bundle on Amazon. Poo.

Pondering to get a Vita. From all I've looked up 3G is still a bit pointless/only useful for turn-based games on the go? Is there any sign over the past year that it might be a more useful feature down the road?

Second-hand ones hadn't gone down quite as much as I thought, which is a bit of a shame. £150ish with a game seems about the level it's at - it got down to near that a few months ago so I don't think it's a complete disaster.
