Ooooh, tell more please!

Seen some recent videos over on gaf and It did look pretty good after seeing nothing of it or months

Played about an hour so far, the majority of which has been hostiles mode. The game has a 10 mission operations mode which is the bulk of the single player. In addition are Time trials which are based on the same 10 levels and then hostiles mode which is a wave based mode based on the 6 multiplayer maps. I haven't managed to fix my nat 3 problem yet so haven't been online.

Graphically it holds up well, way better than the initial videos at least. The controls are fine - the only negative is running which is either automatic or by pressing down on the d pad. To me it looks, feels and plays like Call of Duty - it's exactly what I wanted.

Ta muchly, bit of a turnaround then as I was fearing the worst. The mission system sounds ideal for a handheld too.

I'm guessing reviewers are gonna be down on it though as it's obviously not as feature complete as BLOPS2.

Seems like the big Vita heavy hitters are all a tad disappointing, then; Little Big Planet Karting, AC Liberation, Need for Speed...Ragnarok odyssey is also scoring erratically. Guacamelee looks like fun - a metroidvania game from the guys who did Mutant Blobs.

Also, for some odd reason, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward isn't coming to Europe with an English dub, but the American version has one. Instead, we get Japanese dub and English subtitles. That's a bit bloody odd, but you can always import it as I do believe its region free - speaking of, where would be the best place to import this from? VG+? Looks great and after all the good things I heard about 999, I'm looking forward to trying it out and I reckon it'd be the perfect game to get stuck into when I'm stuck in a hotel, but would definitely prefer English VO.

Because it's one in an increasingly long line of instances where Sony had an opportunity to support this wonderful device, but chose not to. So they get a facepalm from me! That'll learn 'em!

You can just see the top brass at Sony going 'hey guyz, why we losing the monies?'. Because, almost across the board in every division of their business, they are out of touch with their customers' wants.

I mean seriously, how amazing is this machine? It has such incredible potential but for god know what reason, Sony are being all herp derp about it.

Finally got my Vita today, second hand 3G model, really impressive bit of kit. It came with Reality Fighters and Resistance. So need to get a couple more games for it soon and a bigger memory card, but it certainly feels a step up from the PSP, also good to see my PSP games will work on it that I got from the PSN Store previously.

Are the official Sony cards the only ones out there at the moment? Or are there alternatives for cheaper?

You'll be glad you got a 3G one.

Why so? I've just used my iPhone as a WiFi hotspot and hooked it up to that anyway. The guy left a Vodafone card in it, but obviously was sensible enough to terminate the account. Is there any benefit to having a new sim card over tethering to my iPhone?

Was looking at a 32GB card, but that is very expensive, think I will grab an 8GB one and just keep topping those up over time. Just try manage my games so I have certain ones on certain cards. Going to pick up Everybody's Golf and Rayman for sure, then see if I can find any bargains around Christmas.

Why the heck don't we have netflix on the uk store? Watching things on DAT SCREEN would be so much better than my iPhone. :(

I can confirm this to be true. It's a nice netflix client.

I set mine up as a US account out the box, got netflix and then switched to the UK PSN account. An initial faff but working a treat now.

Yeah, never got the choice with mine really. I very much doubt I'd be finding a data sim for it. Really going to need a new memory card soon though. Download speeds are awful to really manage downloaded games, so will have to be a case of storing on numerous cards.

What was the official reason for no having even a SSD? Also, not saving games to their own cards seems a bit odd.

Played an hour or so of black ops online today. I do like it however the rotation of 6 maps is going to get old fairly quickly. I'm not missing killcams as much as I thought I would. The killsreaks are all fairly boring to use. Had a couple of glitchy games - score not updating, shots not doing any damage, death as soon as I spawned. These points aside I still find it a decent portable version.

The single player operations are very short. 5-10 minutes each I think. With 10 of them I would think twice if buying for the single player alone. If you are a big COD fan give this a go, just be prepared for a very stripped down experience.

Oh, and I'm selling mine if anyone is interested. 3G, mint condition, starter pack thing with the various cases and screen protector, 32GB memory card.

About £215 would be fair for that, given how expensive 32GB cards still are, right?

Well, I think I might just drop you a PM...
