I don't know how well it sold in truth. It seems like the kind of game the Japanese go mad for. I just find it bizarre that Sony seem to be so blasé about the vita. They don't appear to have a clear vision or strategy in mind for it, they don't seem particularly bothered about pushing it nor do they seem to be trying particularly hard to court new developers for the system. At this point I honestly can't see why they bothered making the system, as awesome as it is.

I finally bought myself a copy of LBP. It's so pretty! That's my commute sorted for the next few weeks, then. At least until AC3 is out.

It's on my list of games to play on Vita currently I'm addicted to MUD for no good reason, it's not particularly stellar but it's solid. The guy at work who got it hated it so I've got his copy and I love it. Apparently its not a great MX game but I've not played one since MotorCross madness on PC and while it's not the best conversion of it's big console brothers it certainly squeezes everything in from what I can tell. Definitely worth a punt if you can find it under £20.

The "official full trailer" for Persona 4 is out now:

Also SFxT is out in NA today, and I think it's supposed to be out on Friday for us too? Might not pick it up immediately as I wasn't a big fan of the 360 game, but maybe after a price drop...

4 is like a more refined update to 3 - it keeps the general idea of the gameplay (climb up floors, battle bosses, study, hang out) but just seems to have more variety, more things to do, better dungeons and a more engaging story. Looking at the latest trailer for Golden it seems to have a load of content that was never in the PS2 version, so it'll be even better. Hopefully.

As for my secrets ... I use the Time Totem, Dynamite gem, Lightning Gem and Multiplier gem (crucial).

Wow 23mill is pretty high I've hit a ceiling of about 15-17 although lately I've had nothing higher than 10.

How the hell did u hit 24mill?!!

Does anyone know if EA/Sony are offering any sort of incentive to own both Vita and PS3 versions of the new Need For Speed. Cross Buy would be optimistic, but any sort of discount code would be nice. Otherwise it's the Vita version for me, and I'll pick up the PS3 release on heavy discount later on.

4 is a vast improvement as it fixes all the problems 3 had. Keep in mind that 3 is an awesome game as is so should give you a pretty good idea!

Aren't the portable versions basically identical in terms of battle system? P3P added all the improvements from 4 into itself, so the only difference is really story/characters.

4 still wins on that front, though.

I used the totem that adds bonuses to the board (the most expensive one), I'd previously ignored it due to it's high cost and the minimal benefit Totems have in general due to you having to hit the same colour twice. I just got lucky after that, for some reason I was getting the same colour twice a lot, which added bonuses to the board, mainly time bonuses which I was also getting those from the Time Totem, I think I hit 10mill + with a full clock. The two explosive types help keep the multiplier going too.

Pretty much. The PSP game has made it hard to compare 3 unfavourably to 4, but I still prefer 4's multiple smaller dungeons and I think the story/characters are better.

I find trying to get 2 colours in a row sometimes disrupts my combo. Also, I HATE the chained crystals! Always after a good game I seem to get a board full of them. Like the game is actively punishing me!

Indeed I go for combo over matching two sets, although in that go combo and two sets were the same thing. There were bonuses everywhere!

So, Monkey Ball then. I've only played the beginner levels (after navigating through far too many menus) but the levels are exactly the same as those from the Gamecube game so far. This is a good thing, I suppose, because all the sequels had inferior level design. The controls seem a little too 'sharp' at the minute. It kinda hard to explain, but the movements seem slightly too much for the amount I've moved the analogue stick. I may get used to it, we'll see. Overall, it's better than I expected, but to be fair, I wasn't expecting much.

So why isn't everybody excited for Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward?

Currently 91.25% on gamerankings. A sequal to 999: nine hours, nine people, nine doors.

The demo is out apparently. Now where did I put my Vita?

Out here on the 16 November.

I cant get enough of my vita and have a decent amount of disposable income, certainly enough to buy a game a month. The massive issue they have as far as i am concerned is that the big 3 blockbuster titles coming out for it are bigger, betterer on the ps3, which most vita owners already have.

Creed

Need for speed

Cod

Slightly different games maybe but you'd play its big brother first wouldnt you?

I do think it will have its time but christ i'm not sure this xmas period will be it.....

Yup really looking forward to it. Never played 999 on the DS but like you say this is picking up some great early reviews;

Cheapest I've found was on Amazon where it was £22.95 on a preorder offer, but it's since gone up to £25

Yeah, I think this is the problem that these games will have. That and they'll undoubtedly be compared to their console equivalents and are never going to come out on top.

For me they're perfect though, it's almost impossible for me to get more than 2hrs big screen gaming a week now, so playing these games on handheld is ideal

Isn't Creed done with a different character and story though? Not exactly a cut down version as such.

I wish they'd put bloody pictures or videos on the games in the store. Driving me mad flicking through lots of different games and having no idea what they are, especially with the Minis. Can't see it helping sales much by not showing off each in someway. Yes I know I could research them on Youtube or the net but there's times I just want to blow some cash and would quite happily click purchase, but I'm not going to do it off the back of some dodgy description.

Also I was going to get Pure Chess earlier and noticed there was a Halloween bundle pack... yet they don't actually say what it is!

I'm enjoying monkey ball, for the shopto price a lot of the faults melt away (annoying camera, clunky menus)

Im just happy to have monkey target back (long story but a game that back on the gamecube got me the most mindblowing shag of my life !)

I have the same problem, although both Cod and creed are quite different games to the big console equivalents. Whilst cod is some what of an unknown quantity right now. Creed however is looking pretty spectacular and certainly equivalent in scale to it's big console counterparts.

Just saw the video on Play-Asia's product page...

I really didn't give 999 as much time as I should have but I really liked the overall style and atmosphere, and this seems to be just as intriguing. Ace music too. :)
