I've not had any trouble with the memory card, but the game cards sometimes take a few efforts to be noticed; pop in, pop out, pop in, pop out, blow on the contacts (I don't really do this...well maybe sometimes), repeat...

EDIT: in other news I heard that we're supposed to be getting a demo of that Allsorts Battle Royale game?

After spending quite a long time with MUD I can confirm it's actually pretty good. The racing, anyway. The trick mode is horseshit. But the main meat of the game is tough, rewarding, nuanced and scales nicely. Actually quite impressed. The multiplayer is good too - 6 player, works well, decent races with no obvious networking issues. I have the occasional "why am I playing this instead of XCOM or Dishonoured?" moment, but overall it's probably one of my favourite games on the Vita. Bit weird it doesn't seem to be out anywhere though.

Oh and thanks for the ToMB crystals - you must have hit the jackpot on the daily scratch card game.

It was the 40k win i think. Have you noticed they've upped the amount of crystals you get for the lower prizes? No 200, 500 wins now. It's now at 1,500 i think.

Oh, and what tokens, bonus' do you use to get your ridiculously high scores?

The scratch card prizes haven't changed for me! I wonder if it scales or something now? I'm level 51 on it now, so a fair way along.

One of my PSN friends has got a score of over 27 million this week, God only knows how he made that! The best I've ever got on Montezuma was about 7.3 million.

Sadly, Montezuma seems to be just about the only game I'm playing on my Vita at the moment.

Yes I did notice - I got two daggers this morning which would have been a 1000 points or so but got 5000.

As for my secrets ... I use the Time Totem, Dynamite gem, Lightning Gem and Multiplier gem (crucial).

Wow 23mill is pretty high I've hit a ceiling of about 15-17 although lately I've had nothing higher than 10.

Also up on PSN is a demo of Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

Killzone Liberation is also now on the Vita store - which I found after purchasing is only transferable via PS3 :\

Edit - Anyone else tried the Silent Hill - Book of memories demo?

Seems pretty good if you can accept that it's not even remotely like Silent Hill at all and more of a roguelike dungeon crawler carrying the name. Had a few goes of the demo and once you've built up your character a few levels combat and looting can be pretty satisfying.

You are quite right about MUD it's not stellar or anything but it's a solid racer with decent production values. There seems to be plenty to do in it as well.

Finally! I've been waiting to play my copy of killzone liberation since launch!

Persona 4's continuing to provide good news for Vita it seems:

Index Corporation reported sales numbers for Persona 4: Golden and the PlayStation Vita port sold 260,000 units in Japan since it was released on June 14. Total sales should rise next month when Atlus publishes Persona 4: Golden in North America on November 20.

Persona 4 Arena was Atlus Japan’s first foray with the fighting genre and sales greatly exceeded the company’s expectations. Persona 4 Arena sold 220,000 copies. The hit titles contributed to Index Corporation’s bottom line in a big way.

Index Corporation reported 447 million yen in net profit or roughly $5.64 million.

Siliconera

With no news on a Europe release for Golden I have to wonder how many people are going to be importing the US release... I'm still quite tempted to do so, unless we actually get a date and it doesn't end up being too far from the US release...

Since the exploit was released I have to admit I've barely touched vita games... I'm waiting for assassins creed I guess.

I did complete metroid fusion for the first time, I was surprised at how good it was. Sure, it's not super metroid, but it's still an enjoyable game.

super crate box is the best couple of quid I've spent on this, could never get on with the ios touchscreen version for such a precision game but its brilliant on vita

can't believe what a total ripoff of Smash Bros that allstars game is, its almost feature for feature a straight rip.

The sequel to Corpse Party, entitled Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, is coming out on psp, not vita. Bit fucking stupid of Sony to let devs still make games on the psp instead of the vita, but it's a Japanese game and the psp is still selling by the bucketload in Japan whilst the vita...isn't. Still, if Sony can't even be bothered to enforce this kind of thing, what hope does the poor little console really have? :(

I dunno, if it were an either/or decision I'd agree, but the reality is that so long as they release it for download on PSN, it's all good. I mean, the art style's not exactly going to push the limits of the PSP, let alone the Vita, and (as good as it is) it's not really a system seller, so why not release it in a format that lets both PSP AND Vita owners play it, and gives the dev a better chance of making money?

Unless I've totally missed the mark, and Corpse Party was an enormous financial success? Genuine possibility :)
