Does that mean its a good game or just the best of a terrible bunch?

I can't speak from experience but a fair number of people at work have played it and it's considered to be the equivellent of FIFA 11 with some cool touch controls. However it's quite different to how things were changed for FIFA 12 which some people liked other did not. I'd guess the newer edition will be closer to current Ps3 and 360 versions but time will tell.

Does anyone else have lumines? If so have you played it since 1.80 update? I played last night for the first time in months and it chugged really badly especially when I got a trophy! There have been a couple of minor firmware updates since I last played anyone of which could have caused this but I'm disappointed to see it perform so badly :(

The only other thing it could be is Montezuma which doesn't seem to exit cleanly and possibly left some trash running which interfered with lumines.

Seriously I can't be the Rllmuk champion on Montezuma Blitz?

Doc_NI got close this week (although my score was a lot lower than my PB). It's certainly worth firing up again if you felt it was a little lacking on launch. You can get at least half an hour for match 3 addiction every couple of hours now assuming you don't rent any power ups. I tend to go for 5 lives of no power ups to build up some credit then go all out on my final life (which turns up as time progresses during the first 5 lives)and rent a load of score multiplying power ups.

It's certainly my fav game for the iOS style I've got 5 mins to burn while I wait for X ... It's great because you know that the longest it can last is two mins (and that's a really good go).

So far I've not spent any money on the game although I did win big on the daily scratch card (about £12 worth of in game credit).

I had a game last 3 min 30 before! Such an addictive game though

Bah I was getting 4 million without any rentals pretty much every game, and have an all time high score of 12 million with rentals. but for the life of me I just cant score any more. I would have easily trounced you guys but since the last patch my method of scoring high seems to have been nerfed :(

I basically rented the green totem and extra gem thing and got my mutliplier to 10 quickly while extending time as much as possible. With rentals I always scored over 8 or 9 million, with a max of 12, but now I cant score for shit using the same set-up.

Maybe its your hilariously high scores giving me performance anxiety? <_<

I spent weeks wondering how I was going to double my score and match you. Same with Bluejam then it clicked for a while but like you for the last week I've been unable to get anything higher than 5 mill (after setting a 9mill high on Monday!)

It's wide open this week though can't get over 2mill with or without bonuses!

That's exactly the same method I use. Green totem, extra gems, and then dynamite to top it off. Some of the trophies will take some getting though...

That's awesome, will have to check that out when it comes to Vita.

You sir - you were almost forgotten in another incident of iPhone ate my post ...

Don't get too excited, it's ICO HD (possibly SotC as well) running via Remote Play on the Vita. It's not a native Vita version of ICO which I would buy again despite already owning it on 2 consoles (and SotC). Anyway unless Remote Play has suddenly adopted some kind of GaiKai awesomeness I doubt it will be a great experience. Time will tell though.

Blitz went a bit crazy on me last night, it came up with "you have won a trophy" about 6 or 7 times but this was for trophies i already have.

May be stating the obvious here but does it ramp up the difficulty after a high scoring game? Think I got about 5-6 million and then only got the occasional 1 or 2 million after (and most of the time, 500- 600K

As for the scratchcard, Ive never got more than 2000!

Nearly got the 'Nuclear Blast' trophy last night. Cleared all but 2. Anyone got that trophy yet?

Blitz is a bit naughty I think there code base is a little ropey as it's seems to cause all kinds of issues with my Vita. It crashed today when sharing with Near. Got 6K in the Daily scratch card game. I've also had the weird ground hog day daily bonus where you get 300 crystals because it hasn't seen you in a day (even though it has) and then continuously displays the message after every game - must have got about 3K out of that bug.

As for getting harder after a high scoring game, I hear ya on that! I've tried applying a bunch of theories to how it works under the hood but I think it's just random.

Just seems random to me. Some games I'll get lots of time bonuses and in others I'll get lots of chained gems, which slow my scoring down. I don't have the nuclear blast trophy yet either, came close once, left 2 gems on the board! Grrr.... Also don't have the 25 crystals in 1 combo trophy either
