Yeah they work fine mate. Got a 32GB card in mine right now.

Great, thanks. Anyone know where the cheapest place to import one is going to be? I used to use Videogamesplus back in the day but am obviously reluctant to use them anymore.

2 things.

Wipeout - I'm struggling with it. It looks beautiful but I just can't get the hang of it. Not played one properly since the sequel on the PS1 (2149?) which I enjoyed but I just can't seem to get the hang of the controls. Constantly ramming into walls on the races and even when I try hard and end up pushing up to 6th place by being careful on corners I just get overtaken and end up in last place. Made it as far as the end of the first season so far and could do with some advice on how to play it. It just seems so hectic.

Motorstorm - If you play offline (away from wi-fi) and you get to the top of a table on a track say. Then reconnect later should it automatically upload your score? I did this last night on a level. Spent ages playing offline only for me to connect later and find that despite me clearly having achieved the Gold Medal for a sub 40 second time it had my record at something like 53 seconds. Most annoying.

I wasn't going to bother getting anything else for a while now but its Friday and Friday is MOTHERFUCKING GAMES DAY. So I'm tempted to download Rayman. I want Unit 13 though so its going to be an expensive month.

One thing I am also finding is that with an 8GB card I want to be more selective about what I play which isn't a bad thing. I love the idea of having everything on there but the idea of picking 3 games to play and having them only, with another game in the slot is something I am going to try and work with. I am sure I will cave at some point and get a 32 but for now I am 8GB Boy.

Very please with Ninja Gaiden too, okay so it's just an upscaled XBox game but it still looks lovely and feels a lot more meaty than the other games I've got so all good.

It's a good port isn't it. Plays well, and still looks plenty respectable.

I was thinking last night, I've quadruple dipped on this one. I bought the original on Xbox, then Ninja Gaiden: Black on Xbox. Then i picked up Sigma on PS3, and now Sigma Plus on Vita.... all that and I still struggle to beat Alma!

Hope the third one turns out decent now. :)

It should upload your offlines times. The only reason it wouldn't is if the times was 'illegal'. What Event was it?

Just took delivery of the new Thrustmaster case. Thought you might like to see if you're contemplating purchase. Overall it's pretty nice. The foam is great, fits perfectly and the game holders are nice - keeps everything together. The only negatives are the dog tag on the front is awful and the outer case feels a little bit plastic. That said however it will keep the shiny nice and secure so i'm happy.

I'm dreadful at fighting games as well but this is over the top enough to be fun whatever. The d-pad on this is an absolute joy and as I say makes it very easy to pull of special moves. Unfortunately there is no demo, seems they are only there for the Sony published games, which is a real oversight I think. Hopefully in the future all games will have a demo.

Yep, it's lovely. I play a lot of SFIV on 360 with a MadCatz Fightpad and it really shows how a decent D-pad changes the experience for controller players, so I was a bit nervous about trying UMvC3, but the commands are straightforward enough to pull off. Awesome fun. :)

Add another for MvC3 if a tournement type thing gets set up, only actually played it once and didn't really have much of a clue what I was doing to be honest but it looked fantastic anyway.

Motorstorm and Uncharted are keeping everything else at bay at the moment, Rayman, Golf and UMvC are sitting there practically unused.

Its shit but ace at the same time.

is journey coming out for the vita? if not then why not?

edit: looks like not. seriously why wouldn't they??

It's a PS3 game, why would it automatically be released for Vita? They might port it in future, but like any ports, they require extra work.

Personally, I want Mass Effect on Vita, but that's probably never gonna happen.

While your plugging Minis I've been playing a promo of Floating Cloud God on my Vita this week, it's the game I made with Sdrhod and yeah, slightly biased, but I really think we made something enjoyable to play and hopefully a few of you will buy and get a kick out of it when it comes out.

Hookshot described it as defender crossed with Patapon, set in a land of Japanese folklore with loads of cool monsters and bosses.

I wondered if someone could answer this for me please, I have a Vita. Woop. Just got it. Before I set up, I dont own a US PSN account. Although I have two a £30 top up voucher from Gamestation for PSN.

Will that stop me? As its a UK shop? Or do I need US top up cards?

Thanks in advcance.

(PS. Its this thread that made me get one, my wife wants all your balls on a plate. Everyone. Even you!)

Hello fellow Vita fellows.

Quick question: does Lumines require any sort of online functionality? I have a UK Vita, UK SEN account but am tempted to pick Lumines up at retail in the States next week.

Sorry! Thank you!

Yiggy: Try the digital controls for WipEout (I find the sticks a pain to use with it on either format), and use the shoulder buttons whenever needed to get round those hard turns. Go on a speed lap and just do laps until you've learnt a course. It'll click eventually!

And Katamari is recycled in that it's the same idea and structure. The levels are new though, from what I can tell. I love the thing though, great to dip into for 10 minutes at a time.

I'm the opposite and find the stick much easier, but Paulando's point about the shoulder buttons is key: turning into the hard corners using the airbrakes (shoulder buttons) is really what Wipeout is all about. If you're hitting the walls on bends a lot, you might need to get used to using the shoulder buttons on tight turns (or not so tight turns if you're using a sluggish ship). The caveat here is that Wipeout 2048 defaults to a control method that has the airbrakes (both directions) on the square button, which is much harder to use imo.

Yeah, get that shit changed to classic controls as soon as you can. Turn pilot assist off, and if you crash into the side of the track, get out of the habit of steering hard in the opposite direction, which will no doubt knock you into the other side of the track.

Lumines doesn't have an online pass so that's a non-issue. That said, bear in mind that UK DLC will almost certainly not work with a US copy of the game. There isn't any announced yet but I know the hooks are there, so it might be a consideration.

Personally I'd just pick the game up digitally on your UK account. That way you always have it with you regardless of what's in your game card slot, and at 730MB it's a manageable size.
