I'm sort of surprised that Square Enix hasn't remade Final Fantasy VII or at least some sort of announcement since there is huge demand for it. I think it is one of the most wanted remakes. At first I was in that camp, however as the years go by and Square Enix have released shite, after shite when it comes to Final Fantasy has changed my opinion about a remake. I think the best way to remake Final Fantasy VII would be like the Monkey Island remakes. A complete overhaul to look like Advent Children would not work.

Eg a well known story like ocarina of time where you are in control of the other characters. How saria ended up in the woods..etc. Intertwined with link appearances / NPC's talking about what he is doing.

GTA IV, with Ballad of Gay Tony and Lost and the Damned does this a bit. Three stories that cross over. The bank heist is done from three different perspectives too :)

I'd love Paper Luigi to happen. He pops up on Thousand Year Door to tell you about his exploits but you never get to play them :(

Super Monkey Ball all HD'd and lovely. Just the original though. None of the increasingly dire sequels.

I'd love to see Sega dust off their old Xbox port of the first two games and release it as a downloadable title. I wouldn't even need them to redo the assets.

Sadly, I have a feeling NiGHTs and Jet Set Radio didn't do well enough for them to justify doing more ports.

Well, more an update anyway. Remove all the story fluff, just you, your board and places to skate. Include improved video editing and sharing and the ability to build whatever you want and invite people in.

Drop in, drop out sessions open to friends... It would be heaven (on a halfpipe)

I'd like to see Rockstar North revisiting "Space Station Silicon Valley". (All HD'd and sorted out the glitches please).

Also +1 for Blast Corps. I'm still using "Time to get moving" and "You're just trying to impress me" wayyy to often.

WARNIN'! is my fave Blast Corps soundbite. And I heard it a lot because I was extremely shit at it.

Def Jam Fight for New York.

Of course keeping all the same characters and not replacing them with today's pink cardigan wearing hip hop stars. I think it was Ice T who had the take a runny and boot the other guy in the baws move that produced a wince every time. Actually put Kanye in and let me do that to him all day if possible.

The amazon is overpowered and dwarf a bit boring. 

 

Oh, and when you first fight the skeletons, use a club. The sword barely damages them.

This. 8 years later and this still hasn't happened but it still should.
