Quick companion mission question (for those who know at least).

I've put all the totems on their plinths in the bat cave, and for now the missions have resorted to just being simple 'jobs' (Radiant quests?). Just wondering what needs to happen to progress the story to the final few missions - do I need to do a bit more of the main quest or have I missed something odd. Put it this way - I've probably done around 15 of those simple missions, and whilst the dosh has been great, I'm now ready to try something different!

Cheers folks!

To get to the end game I did the missions with the female huntress, Adelya I think her name is

Can anybody help?

At the beginning, took the quest and went to the dungeon on top of the mountain to retrieve the golden claw for the shop owner.

Anyway, got the claw and returned to his shop to collect my reward.

There doesn't seem to be an option for me to handover the claw. Instead he keeps banging on about either buying something from him or to return when I get the claw.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

I've got a right merry troupe at the moment. Lydia, some other random who's along with me for the quest...Barbas and a stray dog!

The dog is pretty nails although he keeps jumping in front of me as I'm striking...

The best accidental kill though was when I met some justicars on the road. They had some prisoner or other and I didnt take kindly to their haughtiness.

I took out the leader first then turned to the grunts. One had already been dealt with and one remained. I decided to finish him off with a good old double overhand smasher. I hold the trigger button down and the sword raises above my head, ready to crash down on the hapless fools skull. Then he steps aside...and all I see on my screen is the face of the unarmoured, bound prisoner. My jaw drops half a second before his body does. Sorry mate!

There are some great combat moments in this too.

I entered one chamber which was full of vampires. They charged up the stairs to meet us and we were in a spot of bother. The vampire chief was nails and he had two either side of him dealing out some damage, plus another on my left who I was trying to ignore to take out the boss.

Despite the close proximity of my troops, Lydia and a dog, I chanced a fire-based dragon shout and it smashed into the main three assailants.

It blasted into the three and the two weaker ones were smashed right off the balcony, their bodies tumbling away ending up sprawled on the shine below.

I stepped in with my double handed sword and took the vampire lord out, and with health dwindling I turned to face the final minor vampire - spinning and catching her so a death animation played; my sword bursting out her back as I lifted her from her feet and she exploded in flames from my enchanted sword.

Fuck yeah!

Not sure.

Got the claw, completed the dungeon. Not sure if there is anything left for me to do regarding that quest.

I thought he just wanted the claw

You may have done what I did, and got to the end of the dungeon but failed to trigger the final boss battle. Have a look in your inventory - if you don't have the claw on you, you've not completed it and you'll need to go back. Make sure you fully explore the raised area in the room where the music starts playing.

Did he

unlock the door with the symbols on the claw to get to the very end? If he did not receive the very first Thu'um, it probably would not register as a completed dungeon.

Seems to just carry on with the normal missions...all different (and I'm getting loads of cool loot etc), but no change. Think it a sign to say move on with some other jobs! Probably a good thing - still to visit any of the major cities yet, aside from Whiterun!

Actually, whilst I'm thinking of it:

I'm playing a good guy, and don't want to join the Thieves' Guild. However, I do want to attempt to bring them down from within! Is this possible at all? Because...y'know...that would be quite cool!

Finally, a lovely sunset...

When I did it, I got through the door and had the claw taken off me, but

Didn't go close enough to the wall to trigger the thu'um, so it didn't complete. Not knowing that was what was supposed to happen, I just left :)

No, I have the claw.

Went through the door with the mini puzzle involving the bear and the bat.

Came out of the dungeon and headed straight for the village to talk to the guy who sells the weapons, who gave me the quest in the first place.

The game is on tentative ground with me, didn't like the previous games because of the bugs and lack of specificity.

Hope it's me who is in the wrong.

Any help is welcome.

What boss battle?

I fought a giant spider midway through the dungeon?

Did you not get to this bit here:

Apologies, it's one of my faffing about pictures, but it'll do the job:

Because if you haven't then it's either gone wrong on you, or you've missed out on half of the dungeon!

How do I rename weapons? I'm on PS3...

You can rename weapons? Can I have like, the sword of painful wanking then sell it and maybe flood the Market with my items?

Is there any way to own a shop in this? If Married a shopkeeper could I sell the weapons I make as my stock?

I just had the most perfect moment. I really wanted Marcurio to wear Thalmor robes to our wedding but I couldn't get a hold of any. Then we're heading along the road towards a dragon near Rorikstead, and lo and behold! A Thalmor justiciar and two guards. So instead of continuing to rush ahead, I followed at the group's pace and watched the battle commence. The three of them got darn close to killing the thing, and I didn't want to attack them directly because of the potential repurcussions, but at the last moment the one wearing the robes I desired got grabbed in the dragon's jaws, and was killed. Amazing. Marcurio and I finished the dragon off and claimed our prize.

Sadly, Marcurio doesn't seem to want to change his outfit.

Edit: Oh it finally worked!
