If it's the one I'm thinking of, you need an undead character who can chuck bombs.

Nope, doesn't work. You can't lock on to it. Oh well, to GameFAQS.

EDIT: Crab. You needed to chase the crab. Now I just need the ones from Blackbeard's power. That's going to have to wait.

Having never played a Lego 'Insert Movie Title Here' game before, what's the general consensus of which is best? There seems to be loads. Bear in mind, I hate Harry Potter.

Maybe this should be in ATF, actually.

I'd say either this one, Star Wars Compete Saga or Indy (the first one).... Just avoid Batman it's a bit of a stinker.

I hate Harry Potter too. But... Harry Potter.

  • 3 weeks later...

Tried playing this with my girlfriend over the weekend to lure her into the world of games. Got to the second level, Tortuga, then spent ages trying to figure out how to get the bloody parrot. Half an hour later decided to google it, only to find out that it's a recognised glitch with the game that they haven't bothered to fix. Only solution is to totally restart the level and hope it doesn't happen next time- about an hour of play lost. Thanks a lot Traveller's Tales, now I'll be gaming alone forever!

I've got the Xbox 360 version, and I'm not sure if it's multi-platform or not, might be the 3DS levels are totally different.

On the 2nd level though (Tortuga) you have to assemble your little pirate crew, usually giving each one an object so they join you. One of them (in the inn) needs a parrot, and it starts off by flying around a guy up on the balcony. When you kill him, the parrot is supposed to fly off to another guy, repeat til eventually it lands on the chandelier and you catch it. We killed the first guy though, but then the parrot continued to fly around without moving on- that's the glitch.

Harsh, I'm quite lucky that the wife is content to carry on playing Lego games, despite the numerous bugs we've come across in them. We were extremely pissed off that we wouldn't be able to collect all the gold bricks in Harry Potter to see what the final thing you build in Borgin and Burkes was though :(

We were both a bit pissed off, but perhaps me even more so since you don't exactly what something like that to happen when introducing someone to The Amazing World of Video Gaming. I did a speed run of the level and hopefully I'll be able to coax her back into playing it again.

Yeah, there's a bug that stops you doing that?? WTF??? Massive kick in the balls if so.

Every boss fight is fucked too. Just so's you know.

Even after the update.

Christ, how are the boss fights fucked up??

Yeah, there's a couple of gold bricks that don't appear or don't get added to the count or something like that. It's not guaranteed to happen but once it's happened it's not fixable as it's recorded in your save file. Looked it up when I was fairly sure there was nowhere else we could find any.

And they still haven't produced a fix for Harry Potter?? I'm not really the type to 100% a game, even with a game chock full of collectables like this, but even so, must be a massive slap to those who try to.

Didn't realise the lego games were so bugged- don't think I'll bother with them any more.
