Mass Effect 3

Recommended Posts

No idea what it means, be fantastic if it was MDK3 but no chance, would love to see another MDK at some point though.

Maybe you will, Interplay were boasting about having over 12 SKUs in production in the recent Edge interview, and they own the IP. The original was pretty cool, still have the hulking box on the shelf, despite probably never getting more than 10% through it :)

Sounds good, only just noticed that they're bringing MDK2 to the Wii and an HD remake for the PC, so could add to the likelihood of an MDK3 at some point.

The Awards are December 11th.

Is there a market for an MDK3?

Apart from us, I mean.

Yeah, well if you get rid of that silly hat, shave his head and bulk him up a little, make the dog shout out stuff like "come get some" which is silly from a dog so best make him a human, Make the Dr a young woman who left most of her clothes at home when self exiled and you'll sell millions.

I don't know if there is but I'd certainly hope so, I like my space marines but sometimes I just want some fun also a gun that shoots sharks and who doesn't.

Yeah, nothing to do with the artists sharing assets or anything :D

I'm not saying it isn't Mass Effect 3. But a Mass Effect 3 featuring the British secret service and tower bridge being developed by the Bioware B-team seems a bit of a stretch.

show me tower bridge, go on, SHOW ME!!!

Yeah, but aren't those bits in the top left corner fighter jets? They move in the video and are much more obvious, and they're between the player and the ground. If it's a gate and a driveway then they're very small

Then again, if it is London bridge, the thing armour sniper dude is in is really high in the air, like airplane high, and very steady, and stationary, kind of like an antigravity spaceship.

Is that Tower Bridge in the background, with fighter jets flying over it?

I thought that, but it's just a wall (it continues to the edge of the frame.

I think they are referring to this:

Which doesn't look like Tower Bridge so much as a wall with railings, and a driveway.

No, really?

And you get positives for stating the fucking obvious. Great!

They've put another code up on the mass effect Facebook, which translates to the picture below, guess that could add to the location being London.

Edit: Thanks SeanR, teach me not to check images before posting.

And we thought BioWare made such nice games. A new image confirmed to be from the studio's secret new blockbuster - obtained by CVG - suggests that its next epic may be grittier than anything it's produced before.

The image, which you can see right here, depicts crosshairs from a first-person perspective. Shockingly, as you look closer, you realise they are aimed squarely at a seemingly defenceless woman - reaching out to a fallen child.

Rumours abound that BioWare's new title is the latest addition to the Mass Effect universe - or even Mass Effect 3. The studio will finally unveil the game in full this weekend at the Spike VGAs in Los Angeles (4am Sunday morning UK time).

The US source that leaked the image to CVG told us: "I won't spoil it for everyone by telling you what the game is. But it's going to have a lot of hardcore BioWare fans jumping out of their seats."

CVG approached EA and asked if the game to be revealed on Sunday at this year's VGAs was part of the Mass Effect canon.

The publisher conceded that the image was a still from the trailer but would "not comment on rumour and speculation" surrounding the exact nature of the game.

BioWare gave us the first taste of its new game last month with a blink-and-you'll-miss-it teaser for the VGA reveal. A short video showed a marine-like gunman aiming down the sights of his weapon.

We noted at the time: "The unannounced game looks more like a modern shooter than Mass Effect 3, so perhaps the Dragon Age dev plans to introduce its trademark RPG elements to the Call of Duty genre."

Could Mass Effect be getting bleaker than ever before? Or does BioWare having something all-new up its sleeve to wow us with? All will be revealed this weekend...

Hmm, first person Mass Effect? Sold!

:)

Right, the possibility of Multiplayer doesn't thrill me in the slightest. Unless they get someone else to do it, but then it doesn't need it.

Secondly, if this is a ME spin off I think there's going to be blood spilled.
