Autolog 2.0

Limited Edition

Yes! A Lamborghini! That's one of three treats given to people ordering the new Limited Edition of Shift 2: Unleashed. Specifically, a sexy grey Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. The other cars are a Nissan Silva Spec R Aero (S15) and an Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV. Check them out in the screenshot gallery below.

The Limited Edition also grants access to 40 career events, such as old cars versus their new counterparts, plus manufacturer showdowns.

:)

ZeroG on GTPlanet has these for controller settings:

Counter-intuitive vs. Shift 1, but try the below and see if it makes a difference. I have tested extensively in both race and drift modes and can absolutely say the game just works for me now!

Feedback appreciated.

ZeroG Optimized XBOX 360 Controller Settings

--------------------------------------------

Steering Dead Zone: 3 <-- Key Change

Accelerator Dead Zone: 5

Brake Dead Zone: 5

Steering Sensitivity: 50 <-- MOST CRITICAL CHANGE

Acceleration Sensitivity: 50

Braking Sensitivity: 50

Speed Steering Sensitivity: 100

I play with all assists off and the elite driving mode

What? So they're announcing sequels on the day of a new release now? This is madness!

EDIT: Well not the actual day of release but you dig what I'm getting at! <_<

Need For Speed: Shift 2: Unleashed.

Top naming, EA.

And VN1X, you bloody idiot.:lol:

Idiot?

Am I missing something here? Or do I just have to take the embarrassing rate of milking (that's running rampant in the industry these days) for granted?

Technically, they are two different franchises, right? Shift and Hot Pursuit I mean. Your sentence was a bit odd.

Now, GT6 being announced when GT5's release date was revealed...that's a lot worse!

Well still I mean, segmenting the market surely? This and that, argument here, pointing out facts there, stating beliefs about the industry, coming to a conclusion, hoping for a fruitful discussion of said opinion.

Yeah, they are and are being treated as such. NFS Shift will concentrate more towards the sim aspect. Apparently.

But we've been down this road.

It kind of, maybe, sort of makes sense to split out Hot Pursuit as the arcade, chase Criterion crash extravaganza, and Shift as an arcade/sim from Slightly Mad. Especially if there's a bigger gap in the market without a new PGR for a while. It does seem a bit strange that so far they've dropped Need for Speed from the title, so it's just Shift 2: Unleashed (Which is a pretty bad name... unleashed from what exactly? The NfS name?).

Shift was alright, but it I'm not sure it'll be able to stand up against a new RaceDriver for me...

Hot Pursuit forced me to watch the trailer for this yesterday. The XBox sprouted arms and pinned me to the chair whilst some German Dominatrix appeared from nowhere, strapped my head down, applied something to my eyelids to keep them open and kept putting eye drops in my eyes.

Theres no excuse not to get the sim aspect right. There tyre engine is meant to be programmed by one of the best and they're all ex GTR Programmers.

EA should really keep their meddling out the way.

But the franchise remains NFS (it uses the new logo). Fairplay to have two different franchises aimed at different markets. The NFS franchise deserves that and for me if i was head of EA i'd do exactly the same.

At least it means we won't get any more of the traversties of the early "nextgen" games.

Splitting the franchise is a very very good idea.

Although from that trailer it's been split into "Burnout in a dress" and "The worst of old NFS"

And by that I mean

"We're doing a sim racing game!"

I loved Shift and the way you felt like you were really in the car and was really meaty sounding and had some great multiplayer races on this. Infact it's probably one of the racers I've had most fun with. Not arcade and not sim.

Can't wait for this one. Autolog!!
