The Alan Partridge Thread

Literally anything with Alan Partridge in it is some of the best UK comedy of all time, so if you care about comedy at all, you should watch all of it.

I’m so fricking excited for another episode of this tonight.

Me too. I read the synopsis for tonight's episode and it sounds like it could be peak Partridge.

His production company in I’m Alan Partridge is called Pear Tree Productions. He’s called Alan Partridge. Partridge, pear tree. I mean, there’s nothing more to it than that, I just never saw it before.

Ah, I thought you meant there was a joke or reference to that in the resent episode.

It's not quite right, but it's getting really close. :) The shuttlecock at the end was note perfect.

The background tweet saying "you will be mist" was a highlight, but I'm easily amused by my own pedantry...

The knocking off the audience member from the seating, subtle.

As has been suggested, it's right on the cusp and brewing up nicely.

I thought the opening (Alan's fake from-the-heart monologue) was overcooked and a bit ropey acting-wise and I expected disappointment, but the episode got stronger and stronger.

It really helped that there was another character for him to play off. I was proper chuckling at quite a few bits.

This is warming up nicely and a great treat on a Monday.

My favourite bit in that one was him running out to the audience just in time to turn around and run back.

Loved all of this, it was like the last episode but with everyone turned up to 11. Full of perfectly timed and pitched stuff across the board, bodes very well for the rest of the series.

I really enjoy his interactions with the audience and the public.

The handing over the microphone and the two after eight mints bit was so funny.

Paper, paper, paper

Rent, place, turn

Squat.

Paper, paper, paper, tear

Complete.

Turn.

Feed paper back into bowl.

Is he a sit down wiper?

Loved the end of the #johngone segment.

"Some very sweet messages there. Some of them obviously quite thick but no less sincere for that."
