Closer to 2mill is what I've heard, including a sell-on fee.

Great player, fully expect him to score shitloads for you, but miss an easy chance in the playoffs. Then piss off to West Ham or Villa for 10mill in 18 months.

It is as much as £2m assuming targets are met (he scores 20 for us in the Premiership etc etc). If he wants to piss off for £10m after that, then fine by me!

Please don't lose tomorrow, please don't lose tommrow.

I hope Jones has them up for it, even though he doesn't give a shit about the derby, them doing the double over us for th first time ever, that losing games like this has an effect on the players and support. The table no longer lies - lose this and we look play off bound at best and faced with the possibility of the Jacks winning the rivalry (double + promotion) for ever.

Please don't lose tomorrow, please don't lose tommrow

I'll be honest it was no more than swansea deserved. Cardiff seemed to want it more today.

I think the Gods have decided that no team shall ever do the double.

Of course, we may well meet again this season :omg:.

Tell you what - we will take 2nd spot and you can enjoy a play-off final win at Wembley then we'll meet again in the Prem to deicde who finishes bottom and second from bottom!

I only watched the first ten minutes. That was enough to tell me that cardiff were going to win. congrats and best of luck for the rest of the season

The Bloody writing was on the wall after about the first minute where we got caught sleeping and cardiff nearly scored. I thought Rangel had a terrible game.

Burnley well worth their point tonight - some of our fans losing perspective by booing us off despite Burnley being a decent attacking side.

We've not played very well in the last 2 games, but got 4 points - we do need to play with a bit more urgency and I thnk everyone is worried that we will screw it all up again. The weight of our superstar players is weighing us down a bit.

Ramsey has been class and I hope we can keep him, but as he's played every minute of every game I can't see him needing anymore match fitness time.

Massive massive game on Saturday agains Forest

I'm delighted with that result for the Clarets. I am not sure how much the new manager influence is, but can we say the honeymoon is over after, um, five games? Possibly six, with one defeat (Doncaster away).

Eddie Howe has more away wins for us than Laws and Boyle did in 12 months. Still, next up is Preston so that will come to a shuddering halt.

Burnley are a solid team and could creep into the play-offs. But it's 2 points dropped for City.

Forest have 2 games in hand and should go above us with a win over Scunthorpe tonight.

Saturday's game is beyond huge for both clubs. I can't see anyone but QPR, Forest or Cardiff getting automatic so the match at the City Ground should go some way to decide which teams will go up.

Bugger. Still cant figure out how we lost, as we dominated the game and hit the bar, post everything. Then again tyson was playing and is back to his usual form of just running and putting the ball out of play.

I think playing with 10 men against qpr for 75 minutes, and then having a squad of only 16 available players, combined with a game every 2/3 days is starting to take its toll.

Last 6 and 8 games Leicester have the highest points per game, and the highest goal difference gain apart from Ipswich. Forest are second in the form table, until last night anyway. We have Cardiff, QPR and Forest coming up, avoid defeat in all three of those and I think we'll get automatic. We have a ludicrously strong squad to the point that we can let Hobbs go out on loan without it being too much of a loss.

Leicester are on fire but Cardiff, Forest and QPR are no slouches. I'd be amazed if Leicester were not in the top 6 at the end of the season and frankly I would hate to face them in the play-offs.

Cant see leicester getting into the automatic places myself. Your 7 points off, and it would take something spectacular for all 6 of the teams above you to all go on some disastrous run of form in the final 15 games that will see them drop 7 points more than leicester over than many games (and in forests case 16).

I think leicester have left it too late.

Just looking at your squad, I cant see anyone, other than maybe andy king who would get into qpr, cardiff or forests first teams. Its a decent squad, dont get me wrong, but I dont think its that strong. Squad wise you might be right though, as you've got a bigger squad I think.

But I reckon leicester will probably do the play offs :)

Tottenham, £15 million will buy you one of Connor Wickham's toenails. Now go away.

Did you see the reports that a) his new contract has a release clause at some unspecified fee and b) Spurs have been granted first refusal if he does leave?

Unsubstantiated reports, it should be said, but if he carries on his current form for the rest of the season then I reckon the chances of us holding onto him in the summer are slim. :(

Man alive, we never seem to get big money for our players* - every time Bent changes club I weep into my cornflakes (Darren that is, if it was Marcus then I'd be a withered husk).

*£1.25 million for Kiwomya was pretty good though.
