Direby, lol you're obsessed. Ipswich play us next game after we lose to play you on Saturday (Tuesday 1st February)

Are you going on Saturday? Guess we haven't got much to lose going by recent form, then again you were on a run before coming to PP last season, losing to us fucked the rest of the season up for you. Fingers x for a repeat.

I cant believe paul jewell is back. When do ipswich play derby? Im looking forward to him getting one over on the direby.

Forest have taken south african world cup star Siphiwe Tshabalala on a weeks trial. His names certainly a mouthful.

He did score a hell of a goal, but beyond that I dont remember that much about him...do forest fans think he can do a job for us?

Whether he can do a job for us or not I like that we've not paid anything to find out if he's good enough. We'll just have to trust the staff to decide if he's worth it. I'm still pretty surprised we haven't signed a left back.

:P It didn't exactly fuck our season up. We made the playoffs, the weight of expectation on Forest has died down a lot in Nottingham since we dropped to League One.

I expect us to draw at PP. At the moment you can't confidently predict Forest will win away or that Derby will win at all. ;)

I just remember you were on a run, and playing confidently, but following that game (where you just didn't seem up for it at all) started playing badly, albeit still grinding out some results (I remember watching you against Swansea and being awful yet still winning with a last gasp winner) Fella at work who follows you reckons that's how you are playing at the moment. Dunno.

Agree about the draw though, 'derby' games have a habit of ending in results that suit both teams, and I think at the moment we'd both take that.

I'd definitely take a draw. I'd take a draw in every away game this season.

We are playing shit and grinding out results but if you keep playing until the very last minute that's what you can expect. I'm very happy with the way we've played as a whole and the signings we've made, it's all very positive.

I completely agree with your mate at work. I'm fairly sure I went to that Swansea game. It wasn't a bad match at all if i remember correctly but we missed some complete sitters (Chambers scored the winner in the 84th or something?). If Forest want to make last gasp winners a specialty I'm not complaining, Tudgay's winner v Pompey last week was fantastic.

Ramsey apparantly coming home to Cardiff for the rest of the season.

Madness - very excited, but God knows what we are going to do with 7 loans now as we can only have 5 in the squad (not a big issue as Kuomas is crap).

No idea why he isn't going back to Forest/staying at Arsenal

Yeah its a strange one.

I wonder if after ramsay went back and wenger said he wouldnt be going out on loan again, forest just ended thier interest and have been caught off guard by this.

Do cardiff actually own any players now? Or is thier entire squad made up of loanees? :D

Yeah I agree.

Though this time its abit different in that we havent been playing well really. We've been scrapping to get results, whereas last season we were on fire and playing brilliantly until derby. This team has show it can scrap, which is what derby did last season. It was a shite game and derby won by just being the more physical side and battering us that way. It worked a treat.

I dont think those tactics will work so well this time around.

Still, I have derby down to win 3-1 in the LTLF sweepstakes :D

This Derby vs Forest game isn't the prettiest thanks to the ref is being utter shite, stopping and starting it at every opportunity. It's getting right on my tits. Forest haven't done anything of note in this game yet, but I tell you what, Derby look appalling. Also, lolz at Robbie Savage.

Cracking game at the CCS today - we deserved the win, but I wouldn't have been too furious if Watford had got a point as they were excellent bar the first 20 mins when we battered them - never stopped coming at us even with minutes to go at 4-2.

Best team I've seen down there this season and probably the best game at the new ground so far. Worth checking out the highlights - we went 3 up, they got one back then another straight after half time then they had a goal disallowed and hit the post.

Bothroyd returned, scored a very cheeky goal and then went off injured.

Buckley for Watford was superb - cracking player.

Eat it Millwall.

Oh we ate it.

You were just too good going forward. Dyer, Vassell and Yakubu are a pretty fantastic strike force. Saying that we really could have come back into the game if it wasn't for Askou (on loan from Norwich). We had a shit load of players out yesterday, our two center backs in Ward and Robinson, our two partners to Morison in Trotter and McQuid. It was a bit of a cut a paste team, but i thought we might have a chance to pull it back if Askou wasn't a complete idiot.

It deserved a red card, and in all fairness you deserved to win it anyway. The run had to come to an end at some point, i just hope we can get back on our feet.

Great win, and our first at prideless park! Savages strop was awesome as was kfc's no show.

Its going to be a great night

Nice to grind out a good away win. I say "grind", because nothing much happened and it was a bit scrappy, but we were easily the better team. Moussi was immense and Tyson looked like a real winger - it was amazing. What's happened to Derby? They were playing lovely football earlier this season, so they're clearly capable, but they were atrocious yesterday. That Porter lad upfront was abysmal.

Would have been a bit different if you had scored that penalty mind. Some good goals for us though. We're an odd team at the moment, very good at home, poor away from home. We are supposed to be signing some Honduran international this week, will see if that makes a difference.

Particuarly as tyson was playing as a striker

But yeah, both were excellent and its a great victory.

Im quite amused by dave jones seeing as when forest signed ramsay he said:

“The difference [between Cardiff and Forest] is that he’ll go there for a month and get fit, then you lose him again when Arsenal want him back,” said Jones.

“We’re a little bit more advanced as a squad and a club to just take a player for a month.

“If we took a player like that it would have to be for the rest of the season.

“You don’t want to get yourself into a position where you lose a player that you’ve only taken for four or five weeks

Yet now he's signed ramsay for a month, and half his squad is comprised of loanee's.

This was before we turned to crap though, although yesterday everyone was wondering where we would play our 20 midfielders (4 on loan).

Jones is the most miserable fucker in football - he hates the press, the fans, some of his players and most other teams, managers and players.

I half expect us to go up this year and him to tell all of Cardiff to drop dead during the open top bus parade.

Still we seem to be back on track now which I good as Inwas dreading Sunday week when we face the Jacks. Jones cares not for the derby so hopefully Ramsey and Bellamy can stop them doing the double for the first time ever.

That really made me laugh.

He is certainly a mardy sod. Like "non league" nigel clough, moaning that derby lost to a team that cost £15 million, except for when our starting line ups were matched up- theres actually cost abit more and our full squad was nowhere near £15 million...but derbys was. Ah well. Do you think cardiff are over thier blip now?

Forest looking good at the minute, we're 6th, and only 4 points behind cardiff in second - and we've 2 games in hand. Really hope we can keep it up and snatch second.

Great equaliser from Taarabt! :D

If he stays with us next season I'll be amazed. He is on record as saying he wants to play in Spain. But I really hope he decides to have a season in the premiership, assuming we go up.

Apparently Neil Warnock said after the game he might end up going to Real Madrid, but more likely Saudi Arabia

didn't realise you could overtake us. Not sure if we at other our blip - very good 7 points from the last 3 games and we are even stronger in midfield and attack, but we are still dodgy at the back.

If we convert our chances early on as we did yesterday then everyone is going to have major problems with us - with Ramsey in there it has to be the best midfield/attack in the division (and perhaps nearly better than a few Prem teams).

But, we do lack a bit of shape as Jones likes to play everyone everywhere and when thinks start going wrong in a game it takes a while for them to get back on track.

It did look a weak Championship a few months ago - now it looks very very strong at the top.

Yeah, we've got 2 games in hand over qpr, cardiff, and norwich and a whopping 3 games in hand over swansea and leeds. We are only 4 points behind most of that, except leeds who we are only 2 points worse off than.

Looking at the fixture list though, its not going to count for much i dont think- as we have a mental amount of games crammed into a short period of time, with a very small squad.

I'd agree with you on cardiffs attack/midfield - its quite scarily strong.

Is it a concern that cardiff seem to be loaning so many players?

Not if we go up as odds are we'd come back down anyway.

If we don't go up then I think we might be screwed - I think the Malaysians are putting in quite a few quid to cover wages, etc, but don't seem to want to spend anything on transfers.

If we don't go up then we will obviously never get the likes of Bellamy, Ramsey on loan again - Bothroyd will 100% leave so we'd need a significant amount of rebuilding.

So cardiff are betting everything on promotion really?

Forest won again last night, 1 point off second with a game in hand now....starting to think this *might* be the season.

Although in the middle of february we play qpr, scunthorpe, cardiff, preston, millwall and middlesborough in a mental 2 week period with a game every 3 days or so. We have a weekend and midweek game every week till the middle of march now. That may destroy us.

Welcome home Danny Shittu

He was fantastic for us, i don't think you'll be disappointed.

We had a cracking result last night. The news sites are starting to mention play off places when they talk about us which is flattering but i'm still just hoping we stay up.

And it looks like Morison has signed after all. Fantastico!

Clarets have just signed Charlie Austin from Swindon. Fee is rumoured to be £1.2 million.

Everyone was reporting yesterday that a deal between Swindon and Ipswich was done and dusted but nope, we've nipped in there and got a guy who has scored 37 times in 65 games.

Probably gonna be a great signing.. I was really hoping the Rs would pick him up. I'm hearing instead that we're lining up a £2million bid for Leroy Lita. I've been saying we should sign him for years, so I'm quite happy about this, especially with the likes of Hulse and Miller for him to play off, could work out very nicely, and just what we need.

Closer to 2mill is what I've heard, including a sell-on fee.

Great player, fully expect him to score shitloads for you, but miss an easy chance in the playoffs. Then piss off to West Ham or Villa for 10mill in 18 months.
