So is the 3DS screen the first 3D screen that has no need for glasses, or has that been done already?

Engadget are saying that it doesn't require glasses, takes a few seconds to focus on (they equate it to cereal box 3d images) and the effect is lost if you move your head, but works well and is quite compelling.

With 3D pictures, I think that's going to launch an entire next gen for handheld devices - phones, ipods, ipads, watches. The games, other than Kirby, didn't really do it for me but that hardware was very impressive and I think 3D on a handheld makes sense too without the glasses.

Mario Galaxy 3D should be on that system.

PREDICTIONS!

Miyamoto always talked about the inspiration for zelda being a small boy exploring a garden. I think the new game will be truer to this than any other - a more intimate scale, and a closer view to reflect this. If OOT was about riding horses across fields, this will be about pulling back branches to find treasure in the shadows. And then cutting said branches with a swipe of the wiimote master sword.

I'd also imagine a range of new Wii colours, a hardware price drop, and some kind of proper Pokemon game to take on the action RPG roots that the new zelda will have strayed from somewhat. Perhaps a Pokemon MMO.

And Starfox.

The rest will be just 3DS 3DS 3DS - which for all its tech brilliance, won't have any software that needs it and be a bit 'shallow'.

Have you ever predicted anything accurately?
Suck my enthusiasm cock MID. I called this bitch out. Zelda SPOT FUCKING ON, and starfox.

not saying nintendo's games were hugely innovative, i'm saying that they brought a huge fucking smile to my face. whereas microsoft's belief that the industry consists only of stupid waggle loving casuals and hardcore dudebros who like only shooters made me loath gaming.

Sorry, but you can hardly accuse one company of being morally bankrupt when two of the three games you list are just average looking sequels.

Are there any TV panels out now (or out soon) that can do 3D without glasses?

Not that I know of. I'd imagine it works on the 3DS due to the small size and distance from your face. Probably helps that you sit head-on, which wouldn't work in a cinema or in your lounge depending on how many of you there are and where you sit.

Last I heard namely, is that they're working on it. The glasses-less 3D TV panels that is. So basically a big 3DS screen.

Sony have 1 hour and 8 minutes to think up something to beat Nintendo.

I know you are, but what am I?

If they're smart they're opening with an Agent trailer and then show Ueda demonstrating The Last Guardian for an hour.
