No gay relationships on show either. As a result I give the Nintendo conference a D-. Sony will get at least a C+ because of Kaz and Jack Tretton.

flawless victory for nintendo.

facerockingly awesome conference. the contrast between the horrible, creative bankruptcy of MS' yesterday and the magic of Kirby, Zelda or Donkey Kong just made it even more impressive.

Did we see the same show? I can't think of anything more creatively bankrupt than that new Zelda footage. So incredibly stale. Donkey Kong too just looked like a tarted-up Donkey Kong Country. Nothing remotely innovative there.

Microsoft's show was gash, but let's not get too carried away.

Blatantly some sort of 'subsistence 2' second reworking of MGS3, with the naked sample being a metroid hunters-style demo bundled with the hardware (GUESSWORK)

The only slightly worrying thing about that list is- will it take away attention from the Wii, especially with 3rd parties? There's some decent 3rd party games on that list (Street Fighter IV, Metal Gear Solid). Hey, I'd prefer to see them on the Wii..... but then maybe the 3D will be a nice gimmick.....

What's with all the zelda hate? The controls failed but that's not how it will play on the show floor. It was beautiful, built ground up to take advantage of the remote, and had loads of wonderful ideas. If like you all just want wind waker run on the 360. This is a wii and I want a zelda game made for it.

Just me who wasn't excited by anything in that presentation then? I feel dead inside.

To be fair, you can't really put across actual 3D. It's wierd that they had so few actual games to show, but we're all just stoked about the idea I suppose.

I wonder if Nintendo has made this one 'Pirate proof'.

They'll have done their best. Like I said before, one of the major reasons for this update was the massive endemic piracy on the platform. A model similar to the DSi with regular updates breaking compatibility is in order, I feel.
