With the competitors desperately trying to latch onto the coat-tails of motion control and casual gaming, Nintendo reveal their new full HD hardcore-focused machine, with built-in Steam support and Half-Life 3 as an exclusive launch title.

I'd just be happy with a Wii that was able to output a decent picture on an HD TV.

I'm not asking for much here!

I'm really quite worried about the Zelda reveal. Surely they can't be outputting TP quality graphics on a flagship title in 2010? Are they going to stick with cheap midi samples when Mario Galaxy has been getting the lush orchestral stuff? How are they going to handle combat with the motionplus? Is the game going to be horribly patronising in the misguided hope that my Mum will care about Zelda? Hold me.

Zelda aside, at least we know we're not going to have sit through hours of people shooting each other in the face in gritty environments like last night.

But we may just have to sit through more shit party games!

True! But whatever shit plastic peripheral minigame fest Nintendo wheel out today it'll at least probably be vaguely original and not shameless rip-offs of 4 year old products. I'm still completely baffled about the vitality sensor and can't see anything beyond some kind of 'learn how to relax' software or some shit.

I'm just hoping for a return to form for Zelda to be honest. Mario has had his turn with Galaxy, now Link please!

This could be a really interesting show for Nintendo if they pull some corkers out the bag, a Wii 2 with some upscaling shenanigans and new sports / fit tat for cheaper than Kinect, the 3DS and some Zelda, they'll easily 'win' the show.

I'm sure it will be impressive, but I honestly don't give two shits about the new 3DS, or the vitality sensor, or any other hardware gubbins.

I'm in it for one Wii game. Show me Zelda with waggle, and make me want it - anything else is a bonus.

Call me mad, but I have a really good feeling about this Zelda.

let's face it - this Zelda has been in development since BEFORE OCARINA OF TIME (slight exaggeration)
