Black Ops 4 is amazing @Theholyhogg definitely the shooter to go for, Battlefield V was just the same as Battlefield 1.

Whilst black ops 4 is vastly different to black ops 3

Most of the "new" additions to black ops 4 have just been done in previous call of dutys already and the genuine new additions have been copied from other games i.e. specialists from rainbow six siege, grenades that recharge (destiny) etc etc

Both of the mainstream shooters are much of a muchness now. They have both hit their winning formula and neither move away from it too much because that would upset their own set of fans.

Well as someone who’s played over 500 hours on BF1, the difference was immediate to me on the beta (Which I played to rank 16). Also there is a small matter of the BR mode in the full game too.

COD has battle royale as well, but the shooting and movement are nicer.

COD is the better game full stop, plus EA have nothing to do with it.

It plays and looks exactly the same, WW2 instead of WW1 but seriously, you could run them side by side and wouldn't be able to tell the difference hud aside.

I've not seen anyone be this wrong about something since you tried to claim Jack Wilshere was England's greatest ever midfielder.

I didn’t come in here to get involved in the Wilshire debate but fuck it I’m going to say something! Remember when he was at Bolton on loan and he basically drove that entire team around him? Back then he had glimmers of being something special but under no circumstance was he shaping up to be one of England’s greatest ever midfielders. I get he has been devastated by injury and like Sturridge (another successful Bolton loanee)  they could have been England regulars for many years if they stayed fit. Sturridge probably had more chance of being one of the best Englad strikers of all time (evidence being THAT Liverpool season with Suarez and some of the goals he scores like he is down the park with his mates) but where both of them could have had hugely different careers if they were injury free, suggesting Wilshire could have been in the same category as Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, etc. is a Gunners romance. Sorry @gooner4life

Now... which of you dirty, rotten, no good, lawless, scoundrel bastards is getting Red Dead Redemption next week and can we please start organising the online component?!

Superb lads. I have the day off work. I am dropping the boy at his grans around 830, will be home for 9 and ready to get my Posse on. So many movie references spring to mind but THE stand-off above has got to be one of the best. The build up across the 3 movies, the music, THE MUSIC, Clint Fucking Eastwood. There is a thread in the film section for Perfect Films and surely that is one of them?!

“You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.”

The first game is my all time favourite game. Nothing else has come close in terms of having every aspect that makes a great game. Plus, the ending... I mean the real ending it like something you think ‘that would be great if you could do that’... and then you can.

Christmas falls on Friday 26th October this year!

Er, the online part of RDR isn’t live till November is it?

It's only 5 days after.... But yeah it is, I know people are generally only bothered about the multiplayer aspect these days but some games (This included) do come with a single player mode!

I am very much a Single Player / lone wolf MP type player so this is very much about the story mode for me, especially given there are so few games these days where the single player element is given some real love.

However, I would be willing to become all about the RLLMUK posse on this if it can be done.

BFV is the same as BF1? Jack Wilshere gate? Lol, give your head a shake son.

Anyway, I've also got Black Ops 4 and it is fantastic, though I might be skipping Battlefield purely due to lack of time. I still consider BF4 to be one of the best shooters of this gen, post-spring patch.

That being said, I've got a 3 day weekend reserved for RDR2 and it's likely it should arrive earlier than that too. There's a good bunch of us that play GTAV regularly and the community is much like what the BAP league used to be, friendly and in good spirits, before the cliques and rando behaviours set in. Feel free to get involved or give me a ping towards release.

Thanks for the games of blackout last night @Theholyhogg, @smithstock I quite enjoyed them.

Having had a few games now I think COD will only be a stop gap for me while I wait for Battlefield but it should be enjoyable enough till then. I thought me and Hogg did ok in the last one as well, 8 kills between us and I think it was a 5th place finish? I quite enjoyed the battling at the dockyard :)

Yeah it's been really good. Quads on Blackout is my go to shooter experience now. We've been unlucky a few times when a strategy has been scuppered but that's the name of the game. I think I'll give Battlefield a swerve, at least initially, Red Dead will take up too much of my time and I'll save Assassin's Creed for winter.
