The Virtual Boy golf game is amazing due to the 3D. I think my trousers may suffer like G did if we got a new version of that.

Mario Golf on the gameboy color please, the one with the rpg elements, a 3D'd up version of that would go down very nicely thank you.

Yikes, bought mine today, played Ridge Racer for half an hour and my right eye is banging sore. :( For me, playing games in 3D really makes your eyes work. I don't feel like I'm passively watching something; it's like I'm having to make an effort (not huge, but an effort all the same) at finding a visual sweet spot and keeping it there. Every ten seconds or so, or when the camera angle changes, or when I glance at a different part of the screen, the imagine splits in two and I have to concentrate to get it back (takes maybe half a second to re-adjust). And ... I'm not sure I can be bothered doing that every time I play a game.

Do you reach the stage where you just look at the screen and see the 3D naturally without even trying?

Very naively, I thought it would be a case of just ... looking at the screen and everything magically being 3D. I didn't realise you'd have to practice buggering about with focussing your eyes a certain way. Maybe my eyes are just broken.

Hmm, Pilotwings is growing on me. Now that I can sit down without dinner being cooked and children climbing over me, it's a lot easier to get immersed. It's truly like looking through a tiny window in a fantasy world :)

Nicely put. Street Fighter 4 really reminds me of The Indian in the Cupboard. :D

Here's a thought, if the Friend Code is linked to the system itself, then when the inevitable 3DS Lite, with a better battery and the stylus in a more sensible position, presumably then you'll lose your entire Friends List if you sell it on and upgrade and have to re-enter all (up to) 100 codes again?

My trousers will literally explode if we get a good golf game. And Wave Race. Hell, I'd 'settle' for a tarted up N64 port a la Star Fox (not Lylat Wars *spit*). With online versus, oh yes.

Yep I'm hoping for those 2 coming to the 3DS as well.

I've spent the last few days playing the N64 version of Wave Race on my Wii.

In other news I cracked and ended up buying 3 games.

Ridge and Pilotwings from bee.com with the 20% discount.

I won a cheapish Ghost Recon off eBay last night as well.

So the 3DS will be with me tomorrow but god knows when the games I have ordered will arrive.

I think the DSi let's you transfer information between machines, your profile, I'm sure this is the same.

Ah right, so is that stuff stored on the SD card and not the machine? I've had a flick through the manual and its not clear.

A) Glad it's finally turned up mate!

B) Yeah it's a definite grower. I'm borderline obsessed with looking at the feet of my mii as he's hang gliding (also rocket pack) as it just looks like a real tiny person. If I could have a sort of this meets Just Cause 2 style muck about sandbox game I think I could be happy for life.

So, HOW shit are those 'screen protectors' sold in the Amazon bundle? I couldn't even get the stickers ('remove before application'/'remove after application') off without leaving a huge amount of glue and torn paper residue :) Really clever guys, next time use adhesive that actually comes off easily.

I binned them. Glad they were free.

No - you transfer it to a new one - same as the DS.

Handhelds that crash? What the fucking fuck?

I know! Bloody PSP.

I was going to do this but it appears my local Asda doesnt stock the 3DS yet. Does the 3DS plus game for £15 also count in store? I know it does on the website. Kinda hoping my asda get them in soon while the offers on.

At my local Asda, the offer finished on Sunday :(

Well I caved and bought a 3DS with Ghost Recon from Currys in their £209 offer. Slowly working my way through the spreadsheet, so please add me too.

Not even booted up a game yet, and loving the inbuilt software. Seriously looking forward to what Nintendo may do with some sporting sims, and the inevitable Professor Laytons and Advance Wars titles.

Edit: Bee.com seem to have some 3DSes in stock, and if their 20% off voucher still works anyone on the fence might be able to bag one for £160.

I managed to collect some Miis via street pass recently, but when try to do the game in the Plaza, it says I have no heroes to use. I thought the point was to do the adventure thing with the Miis you collect?

If you go into the plaza and see them, then exit before venturing forth, you can't use them on your return. This made me sad as I'd collected seven on Saturday. :(

??!?!? That's bizarre.

Are you sure? I can't believe it.

Well that's bloody stupid. So I've wasted my visitor too. I was hoping to maybe build up a few for an adventure.
