How do you do that? is it on the SD Card?

dont know this trick! My last DS was the original fatty one see.

No - there's an option in the settings.

I migrated my original DS to my DS Lite when I got one, so I didn't need new Mario Kart and Animal Crossing codes.

1000 ish for the console and about 250 per game...

you may as well get started as its a nice wedge of points.

But they expire after a time. Seeing as I'll not have enough for something decent I'm safer saving them for when I get a few more games and enough stars.

I love how the console tracks stats for every game/app/menu you use. At a touch I can tell what my top 3 most played games are, how many times I have played that game and what my average play time is. And it has graphs, awesome.

Do you mean the actual code has an expiry date or that they expire after you have entered them on the stars catalogue site? I know the code definitely has a limited time to enter it on the site, it's a pretty lengthy period though.

They expire after you have entered them on the site. Not sure how long they keep them for though.

Edit: it's 24 months which isn't that long considering the amount of stars you need for the better products.

So, we've got the launch line-up - but what comes next?

From what I know, we've got:

Steel Diver

Zelda Ocarina of Time

Starfox

Mariokart

3DS Store with remakes of some classic Nintendo titles where parallax 3D is made into stereo 3D

And, presumably, a 3D Mario title and a 2D Mario title (though I really hope the 3D Mario isn't just a port).

Much else that we know right now?

They've already shown a few screenshots of 3DS Mario, it's a brand new game by the Galaxy team iirc.

There's also a new Paper Mario in development.

I'm still bitter about Nintendo changing things & all my points expiring. Yes it was years ago.

Damn you Reggie, I'd have enough for a Mario branded fondue set by now.

Played it over the last couple of days.

The 3D doesn't hurt my eyes, but it does make them feel noticably uncomfortable after barely five minutes of play - the idea that you take ten minutes rest for every thirty minutes of play is a bit of a legal play-it-safe admission, IMO.

To be honest, far more impressive to me than the 3D graphics themselves were the utilisation of the 3D cameras in the AR games and Face Raiders - this has great potential for games like a Doom clone set in your own house, or a space shooter where you're in one of those spherical ship-mounted revolving blaster cockpits in Star Wars. :D
