I went out and got Rayman 3D earlier, and playing the unit tonight, twice within an hour I've got an error onscreen, something like:

"An error has occurred. If this persists, either contact your vendor or Nintendo to ask for how to resolve this problem. For the moment, please hit the power button to reset your 3DS console."

Anyone else had this problem?

Yep, the girlfriend's did that once. So I think it's the game. It didn't happen to me with my time spent with the game so far though.

Can you all post more AR stuff, that has me a billion times more interested in the 3DS than the 3D ever did.

I'll post you my Nintendog later when im at home..

Its a bit shit that you cant do much with the Cat's in this version i've found. they just sit there and fuck about..

still good, but a bit Meh.

Don't think so, but I'll have a looky later. I got the Mii, she is very pretty and last played Nintendogs. So now I need her to go and hit a ghost for me, but apparently she isnt the heroic type. I must be missing something obvious

When I get a streetpass hit, and a Mii, how do I then get them to be a hero in the game? I have a Mii sat there, but when I try the quest thingy, it says I havn't met any heroes :(

Not sure about that. When I did it earlier I think I had to 'okay' a couple of things. After using my three heroes once, I couldn't use them again, so even though they were there on the screen, it said I hadn't met any heroes.

It's the only game that it has happened with. Everything else has been fine. As soon as it happened I restarted the 3DS and Rayman and it seemed okay. Had to go out though and not tried again since.

Not sure if it's the actual game that's flakey or of it's a problem occurring with the system itself.

The thing I didn't realise before using the AR feature is that the 3D is actually a key part of it.

With 3D turned off, I'm thinking 'oh right, so you stuck a picture of Mario on top of a video stream, big deal'

With 3D turned on, I have to look around the back of the console to check that Mario isn't standing on my hand.

You just know that one day in the future, the DS will project 3D Mario into the room.

- So everyone can sit and see him. ( Without crowding around the console ) Scary thought, yet an exciting one.

I managed to extract high-res versions of the AR cards from a PDF posted on the Nintendo Japan web site. I've made iPhone and iPad versions for anyone who wants them:

I don't have an iPad so I haven't tested them there, but it works great on the iPhone. I've got them saved to my Dropbox and favourited so I can always access them.

My Face Raiders line up currently consists of me, my dog, Sideshow Bob and Samuel L Jackson

Best game ever.

I added Jeremy Kyle to Face Raiders. Justice is served.

System update added a 3D movie. It's full of DUDES. Plus a bear and a live video of the Wuhu Island fireworks.

I got one with Ghost Recon (or whatever).

Did I pick the wrong game to experience 3D - doesn't seem too impressive :P

It's a very subtle use of 3D, still looks great though.

The game itself is absolutely fantastic.

Ridge Racer 3D and Pilotwings show off the 3D really well so far (For me anyway)

This happened to me too. I think you have to send them on a quest on your first visit to the plaza after getting the hit. If you back out without using them, it looks like you might forever lose the chance.

That sounds like it might make sense. I'll be at airports twice next week, hopefuly I'll pick up more hits and do a test!

Nadgers - I was so sure I could resist buying one, and failed completely :lol: Saying that my current DS was one of the original ones as I kept to the "if it ain't broke" throughout the various DS upgrades. And it still isn't, it doesn't just look like a brick y'know....

Plenty still available in Asdas though, so picked one up and Ghost Recon - I might be tempted by Pro Evo if it still seems positive after a few weeks.

Friends code is 4639-8949-3658 btw - will go on a friend adding frenzy tomorrow.

I think in order to stand any chance of getting StreetPass encounters I'm going to have to start pressing myself against the fences of the local schools.

Even more than you currently do? ;)

I think people are getting a bit impatient with the Streetpass thing. It's been out one day. Give it a couple of months and every train journey/walk to town will be a frenzy of activity.
