I have to wonder about the Friend System though. What use is it without a message system????? Sure, in SSF4 I can sort of send a KIND of message IF my friend is already playing that game, but the fact you can see if your friend is online AND see what game he is playing BUT CANNOT message him........will this be part of the May System Update?

I see this was on CVG site for a while, but it isnt there now. Maybe they got it wrong, or maybe something is coming...

'And what is Wi-Fi messaging?

Sad news: PictoChat is dead. Good news: it's been replaced with a true online chat forum. Messaging gives you the same doodling/writing capabilities as those in PictoChat, only this time you communicate with online friends. Now you'll be able to tell your mates exactly what you thought of that Mario Kart blue shell on the finish line.'

Since wednesday I have played Pilotwings for over 4 hours and am still on Silver in Mission Mode (just have to redo some missions to get enough medals to unlock Gold) and have just unlocked the Evening and Night mode in Free flight.

To the people moaning about timed Free Flight.......cant you just do any of the missions in the game and just..NOT do them, just fly around? The game times how long you take, it doesn't give you an actual "Limit".

On the missions I've tried it just ends after a few minutes.

Was also in Sainsburys, most games 34.99, Ghost Recon and Monkeyball 29.99

Was in my local this morning - only Pilotwings and Super Monkey Ball were £34.99, all the others were 29.99.

Lego Star Wars III on 3DS is pretty cool. You know what to expect with a Lego game so I won't go into massive details. What I will say though is that it plays brilliantly on the 3DS. The circle pad feels so damn good, and its 3D effects are some of the best I've experienced so far. There's lasers and Lego pieces being thrown out of the screen towards you, the HUD 'floats' on the screen, and you get a real sense of depth to the landscape.

If you've liked any of the Lego games, I can't see you going wrong with this. The last one I played on DS was Lego Indiana Jones, which I loved to bits. This one though, with the 3D, improved graphics and precise analogue control, I can see me enjoying even more.

Can you charge the unit with a USB cable - it was mentioned in the thread a while back that you might not be able to, was wondering if anyone can confirm.

I tested it quickly with my DSi USB charge cable and the orange light came on.

So signs are good!

Having held off yesterday I now have one reserved at Argos and am going to go pick it up soon. Before I go, are any supermarkets still likely to have them in stock at a lower price.

I've got teh 3DS, Ridge Racing and some Accessory Kit reserved for £249. I plan on picking up Pilot Wings too.

How much depth are you guys seeing?

I had a look at a demo 3DS system today (OS menu system only, there was no game in the system) and I was afraid the 3D effect would be lost on me because I hardly see any depth anyway because of my crazy eyes.

I was surprised that I was able to distinguish about 3 to 4cm of depth in the Mii creation tool and other sections of the menu system with the 3D slider on max.

Is this what is to be expected? Do the various games themselves have an even 'bigger' depth?

Went for walkies round Norwich today, got 10 hits on Streetpass. Was pretty chuffed as I've now gotten to the fifth room in Streetpass Quest and loads of new puzzle pieces for the pictures and a new rocking hat. :D

Added some more people from the past couple of pages to my friends too so keep adding me back please. You are one that I have entered MagicalDrop, you need to add my code from my sig in order for us to become friends. ^_^ Time for some Ridge Racer me thinks!

Did you pick up Rayman, Asura?

Pretty much everywhere - even Game - is less than that.

It makes me sad to say that Monkey Ball is rubbish. It's abundantly clear now that Sega see it purely as a kid's title. There are 8 Worlds in the main game, comprised of 10 levels each, which I was able to blast through in a few hours. Pretty much all of the levels are a precession from start to finish, with no choice of route to take, and rails on the edges most of the time so you can't fall off. Only the last 2 or 3 worlds contain any stages which show any degree of difficulty. It's far, far too easy.

There's also a racing mode, which is like Mario Kart but not as good, and a fighting mode which is like Smash Bros but not as good. These modes might be fun in multiplayer but there's no online play.

I'll be trading it in on Monday and getting Ghost Recon instead. Does anyone know how much Game are giving for 3DS games?

We played some some download play yesterday of the racing and the monkey smashing game. It was quite fun, more fun than those modes in single player.

I was afraid of playing through challenge mode in super monkey ball too quickly. Part of me had hoped that there was going to be more to it than I was seeing, apparently not the case. :( One world a day then to try and make it last a bit longer.
