Just going thru the google spreadsheet, adding friend codes as I go - please add me too!

Friend code is 3136-6557-5453

I'm looking forward to using the pedometer on one of my regular weekend strolls through the countryside. It's good to know that I'm playing metagames while walking the sandstone trail...

Ghost Recon is excellent if you feel you can ignore the Tom Clancy guff. Haven't played SFIV but I'm extremely happy with GR so far.

Judging from Hewson's sig pic he'll be playing it too?

:-) Oh yeah - on my way into town in an hour to pick up Ghost Recon, Street Fighter and Nintendogs for the missus.

I cannot wait to play a Julian Gollop game again.

I didn't even know that existed, as I've mostly skipped the Wii. Off to check now...!

It's got a really dodgy control scheme that sees you using the remote and nunchuck like handlebars, twisting the remote like a throttle for a burst of acceleration, which inevitably results in you turning the handlebars and smashing into the rocks. If your only reason to get WSR is the jetski minigame then I wouldn't bother, but some of the other sports are a lot of fun, especially if you have friends. Or so I hear anyway. Sob.

No, I just checked it out on YouTube. Does look hard to control, but the fact it exists means a Wave Race 3DS is more likely than I thought, which has me foaming at the mouth slightly. As long as it has traditional analogue controls of course.

After timidly poking my head into this thread all week long, and proclaiming to myself that there were no games that I wanted, and that the 3D would just be a gimmick and I'd only have it turned off all the time anyway... I ran out and bought one and was entirely wrong about everything and am sorry.

It's awesome, isn't it? I was so wrong - I can't see myself ever playing on it without the 3D on. I got Ghost Recon (which I'm now stupendously excited about but haven't even tried yet) and Ridge Racer. Somehow, I've never played a Ridge Racer game before. It's the most stupidly drifty racer I've ever played and it's awesome so far. The beginning races seem a little easy, but I'm presuming it's gonna toughen up. Seems to be a lot to do, too.

I'm just waiting to go cross-eyed and blood to start pouring from my nose.

I don't have a single friend. I've just added myself to the sheet (3695-0017-8774), and have decided the best course of action is to type in every other number on it. Please add me!

Ridge Racer 3D is fantastic. It seems a lot faster than the PSP games.

I'm not getting along with the gameplay in Super Street Fighter IV at all. I think I'll be trading it in ASAP.

I tried Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros. to see what the scaling was like and they looked fine. I wouldn't have guessed that there was scaling happening if I didn't know about it. Maybe it just depends on the game?

Its funny playing DS games in their original resolution now (hold SELECT down until the game is launched), the difference is like the GBAdvance --> DS upgrade, or bigger.

I thought DS games looked great on the XL but theyre just tiny screens on the 3DS.

This is why in the end I've decided to hang onto my XL. The 3DS is great but the XL is still the best for all my old games.

Went out around town hoping to get some Street Pass action but that didn't work out. I hope it catches on, even just a teeny bit, because that quest thing is one of the cutest things I've ever played.

I've also got Street Fighter now if anyone wants a punch up.

Aye, it's been a while. It was a bit sad to see that they only had 2 copies in the HMV were I picked my 3DS up (at launch). It seems to be the lowest key launch title which is criminal given Gollop's involvement.

Since wednesday I have played Pilotwings for over 4 hours and am still on Silver in Mission Mode (just have to redo some missions to get enough medals to unlock Gold) and have just unlocked the Evening and Night mode in Free flight.

To the people moaning about timed Free Flight.......cant you just do any of the missions in the game and just..NOT do them, just fly around? The game times how long you take, it doesn't give you an actual "Limit".

With this game and Street Fighter, I cannot get enough of playing them in 3D, Street fighter especially, the novelty has yet to wear off. It looks too cool to switch off the 3D.

When I tested it in Feb I thought the novelty would wear off after 5 mins, but it hasnt been the case.

Playing around with the system apps, it is surprising all they have packed in.

Unlocking extra AR stuff was a surprise too. The second shooting level is great fun and has you moving around much more than the first, looking for things hidden around corners, under stairs etc!

I have to wonder about the Friend System though. What use is it without a message system????? Sure, in SSF4 I can sort of send a KIND of message IF my friend is already playing that game, but the fact you can see if your friend is online AND see what game he is playing BUT CANNOT message him........will this be part of the May System Update?
