Has anyone got any impressions of Ghost Recon? I've got Ridge Racer and Pilotwings, but I'm still hungry for more games. :ph34r:

Buy it! Really nice turn based, graphics work well, think it should have a fair bit of longevity to it. Well worth a purchase. I got it and pilotwings, but also fancy ridge racer. Tell you what, i'll buy RR if you get GR :eyebrows:

And me being able to tell you that means my 3ds finally turned up. Do we need another OMG IT'S THE BEST comment on here? Oh go on then. Wowser it's special innit? My jaw has been on teh floor for the past fourty minutes. And only once during that time did my eyes hurt. So that's a good thing. Shall now attempt to input a huge bunch of friend codes!

Mine is:2492-4105-7926 Shall add to the spreadsheet and slowly work through sending out friend drequests.

PS - The internet browser doesn't work yet does it?

As posted earlier i'm just kinda feeling underwhelmed by the 3DS. yes the 3D is amaze but it hasn't added anything new and i feel it's just the same old with a new lick of paint. I will persevere as i want to get along with the system and hopefully things may change over the weekend.

Ignore the pissy fanboys mate, kiddie shit cliks.

The one thing that really impressed me when I first used it was the AR stuff.

So I chucked down the ? card and starting shooting the targets, then it did the one where it folded up the surface and I shot 2 targets and couldn't see the third. Then I had to move the DS to peer down into the newly created hole in my table to shoot the final target. I was like, no, surely it can't be down there, but it was.

Absolutely amazing bit of kit/10. :wub:

So Bros. There are a bunch of DS games I want to get too. Before I commit to £250 of 3DS kit, someone tell me that DS games look ok...

They look OK. :unsure: I think part of the problem is that although the upscaling doesn't help, it's more that you get used to how super awesome the 3DS games look. Then you go back and it's a bit of a letdown. BUT the 3DS games look SUPER AWESOME. :eyebrows:

there's a way to launch DS titles on the 3DS and maintain the original size/aspect ratio (you hold down the start and select buttons while launching the DS title). this similar to how the game boy advance handled game boy and game boy colour titles using the R shoulder button

the upper display will have a border on the left, top and right sides and the lower display will have borders on the left, bottom and right sides to keep the distance between the 2 displays relatively the same as what it was on the DS lite

How do you send a friend request? I type in the codes from the Rllmuk database but it then asks for a name, will this name be the same as the 'Rllmuk user name' column on the database?

You can't send a request as such. You can add someone's code and they have to add yours in return in order for you to become friends. Unless it is a local request. Not sure how the naming works, my forum name is Rikku but 3DS name is Tutsie. Presuming i am showing up as Tutsie regardless of what name has been entered. I have already added you, if you were to now put in my code it would add me automatically because I have already added you. If I hadn't then we wouldn't be friends until I entered your code. :)

Just played ridge and pilotwings and both are thoroughly excellant. I'm espically happy with ridge considering how bad it looked in its early state. Now it may not be stunning but it plays like the balls. The 3D os lovely as well. Really adds to the game.

So far I've just been messing with the built-in 3DS software. It's amazing! So much fun. I can't believe that, really, I'm getting this for free.

I decided to delve into my machine to go meet Yoshi.

Samus was being a bit of a bitch and got jealous of all this, though. Tried to take down Yoshi. Yoshi won.

Haven't been able to set up Internet stuff yet because of my uni's incompatible network, so can't get a friend code.

I'm still not 100 percent sure I'm getting the full effect of the 3D, mostly because somebody surgically removed my perfectly good eyes at a young age and replaced them with those wobbly, googly ones you get on cheap licensed plushies; I can see the effect really well when stuff gets close to the screen, but I'm not getting much of the depth-into the screen effect. There must be something happening though, as when I was playing Ridge Racer I kept getting the unfathomable urge to climb into the screen and open a sunroof.

You just add the code, right? The name of the person might not match their rllmuk name but that doesn't matter. For example, I added the code Rikku sent me and Tutsie became my friend. You get the Mii name automatically when you enter the code :) .

EDIT: I've added my rllmuk name as the comment on my 3DS gamer card.

Arrived at 11:55 ish and ended up 25ish in line @_@; didnt expect that :P, took 50 mins to get to the till @_@; but managed to spot Tactics ogre psp for £16 :)

Anyway one hyper manager talking to everyone - but he did give one bit o bad advice - he persuaded a person in line to go for Alphsheet racing over ridge racer :o reasons:

- More colourful

- licensed cars

- games that use licences have more effort put into them as the company pays for the licence so always does a better job on the game to make the licence holders happy @_@;

Good ol game...

Probably doing something daft but I can't get the pictures on my 3DS. I unzipped the file and copied the DCIM folder straight into the Nintendo 3DS folder but the photo program sees nothing.

Edit. Nevermind, sorted!

Copy the fuji folder inside the DCIM folder into the DCIM folder on your SD card.

Agreed. I've been messing around with that stuff more than the games I have so far - the AR stuff is really quite impressive and fun. Adding your Mii!

Has anyone else seen much ghosting?

I seem to see a lot in Ridge Racer 3D. Particularly on the racer icons and the road markings; I see "ghost" images of the right-eye image through my left eye, and vice versa. At first I thought it was my eyes, but I can see them with one eye closed.
