John Lewis 3DS get

Turned up minutes before I had to walk my daughter to school so only gone through the setup but am impressed.

She seems dead hyped about it but noticed that as she is only 6 the box says she cannot play on it. Will let her have a go later on.

Simplygames (the guys I won it off) said they were sending it via next day special courier (whatever that means), so I think it'll turn up today since they sent it yesterday at 4:30 apparently!

Got my 3DS from GAME this morning. Was in and out in 5 mins. Lovely piece of kit. Got a bit of eye strain after playing with it for 30mins but that could be down to me being really, really tired. Most people in the office seem pretty impressed with it as well.

But it's higher res and upscaling to it, so I guess it's slightly blurry.

It's 100% exactly the same screen size (physical) in DS mode tho

It's coming in May - they are pushing a big system update out then which will include the eShop and various other things apparently.

It's coming in a firmware update in early May I think. Nintendo say they weren't happy with the Wii shop or DSiWare as they weren't very easy to use, basically ran in web browsers and it was hard to find stuff even if you knew what you were looking for. They're tweaking and refining and making it a better experience.

I also suspect they want the boxed launch titles to get a clear run, so they can get some headline numbers before people start spending a few quid here and there on downloadable stuff.
