:lol: I really don't care that much. If it was vaya's fortress on vaya's local server, I'd care. That was 20 minutes of gathering and 5 minutes building.

Then I put up lots of signs to see what would happen.

Death by bureaucracy by the looks of it :lol:

Is there not a way we can do warp/teleport points like on the Penny Arcade server? I know I asked before, just thought I'd "poke" about it again...

Wow. I remembered I had some Nvidia 3d glasses I got with the PC after someone mentioned the 3D option on there...amazing! Mine are red and blue, they work well though. VERY impressed by how that works. Brilliant stuff! Really immersive, you guys must give it a try :D

Yeah the 3D stuff works very well indeed. Slap on some red/blue glasses and minecraft becomes a whole new world. I think it works so well because everything is cubes.

What shall we do with the roads? I quite like the red brick idea suggested earlier, would break things up a bit.

I've built my house on a little island on the road between the stadium and the cathedral, going to tart it up a bit tonight - including making the road staight.

No problem man :) Ill start looking into multiple tracks and destinations and see what I can come up with. It will need a limit on minecarts per track I guess, ill try to figure in what sort of delay we are talking about.

Ill need an estimate of how many stops you guys will need, ill presume spawn point would be best as a central point? Ill pop on and see how the Mukk server is coming along :)

I've put a sign down at the closest point to the spawn which you're allowed to build on, it's fairly near the corner of the unfinished Bruce Manor. I reckon a shuttle from there to Grand Central, skirting round the outside of the catacombs so that you can see down them on the way, would be best.

From Grand Central I thought we could basically just do shuttles to different stations, and if there's more than one destination along a particular line (e.g. chasers, wicker man, 1up, new comradia) then change carts at each of those.

I don't know how possible it is, but the idea I had was to, for any one shuttle, have two tracks, so that there was a minecart on its own track at each station. When you got in a pressed a button, it would zoom off the other station, then when you got out (possibly standing on a pressure pad) it would zoom back to the home station.

That would be possible, I havent tried that yet so will mess about in SP to get it working.

If it works OK it could save time, we would need twin tracks anyhow (it would be funny to get some of the guys involved in a pile up, though :D) but if there are any massive issues I can make a holding pen above the station, which your cart goes to when you get out (maybe a pressure pad on the way in to make sure its empty..).

The stations themselves will need at least 10 squares each side of the track for wiring, boosters and whatever as well as 3 blocks below and maybe 15 above for building space -to be erring on the side of caution, and to allow for later expansions.

The cheap freebies that come with 3D comics etc work just as well.

I have an odd-sized head so card ones don't tend to stay on and are pretty uncomfortable anyway. With any luck there'll be more anaglyphic stuff around so it'll be an investment beyond just minecraft :)

A wee bit yeah, acceptable for me though. Just turn it on in the options and check.

Got mine in Smiths! Had to hunt for it though, wasn't by the kids mags, was on it's own special pedestal by the queue entrance. Almost walked out without it, then remembered I'd had the same issue with the world cup sticker album. So search around. Much better than the cardboard ones (he says without having tried them yet).
