Someone took down my painting in Zombieburn Station and replaced it with a different one.

Oh and the portal texture doesn't work on that texture pack either

That pack is good but rivers have an odd square pattern, wolfs dont have a new texture and flaming mobs dont work.

The deal breaker on that new texture pack btw is that the clock and compass don't work, gutted it was really nice

Hmm ... did you all install it using the new version of the MCpatcher?

(it fixes most of the bugs related to "HD" textures (like flames on gold/brick block or missing needle for the compass)

I haven't seen any problems with it yet (though I don't have a compass at the moment).

Almost finished making a new line to the extreme south, piggybacking off the circle line. Here's a grab from minutor, with the section of the circle line from Vaya's tower to his caving centre (did I get that right?) highlighted and the new track added in.

I think I'm about 200-250 short finishing it. Funny thing is I probably won't have it sorted out for ages, I'm going on holiday for a month on monday. If anyone has too much iron though and wants to give me some tommorow, that would be very appreciated.

Once that's done with, I'll be tempted to connect my underground line up with the southern circle line, then I could basically travel from my house right down to the bottom of the map in pretty much a straight line.

On a related note, I've begun westward expansion of the Northern Line sput that runs to mu place. I might still attempt to run it back south to Frontier Town, or I might just create a westward 'pioneer' line for budding prospectors to make use of.

Need to dig me some more iron first though, and plug in a few powered rails to ensure the first part is operational at least.

Only about 100 ish rail left to finish the southern extension, but that will have to wait till I get back! I am bringing a netbook with me away, but it can't really run minecraft. At all. Sadface.

You might be surprised. I tried once a while ago and it was a 3fps waste of time. But last night I gave it another shot and it ran just about perfectly, I guess they added some optimisations in the last update :D

1.6 is hitting this week.

Here’s the changelist so far:

1.6:

+ Added Nether support to multiplayer

+ Added craftable maps

+ Added hatches

+ Added tall grass in some biomes

+ Mushrooms now spreads (very) slowly

+ Added server property view-distance. Sets the radius of terrain updates (in chunks) to send to the players. Range 3-15, default 10.

* It’s no longer possible to build solid blocks on the top layer of the maps (sorry!)

* Players stuck in walls will slide towards the nearest gap if there is one

* Made booster tracks speedier

* Severely nerfed fire so it spread slower, and doesn’t spread infinitely

* Seeds are now found in tall grass, using a hoe on the ground no longer works

* Blocks destroyed by other players in multiplayer now shows the breaking block particle effect

* Activated dispensers make sounds and trigger particles in multiplayer

* Doors make sound for other players in multiplayer

* The record player now supports more than 15 different songs

* Fixed running out of memory corrupting the current level

* Fixed the side textures of grass getting extra dark when mining them

* Fixed anaglyph 3d rendering mode having severe visual bugs

* Fixed grasscolor.png and foliagecolor.png not being read from texture packs

That little house where your southern line ends is where I'd picked out for building the model village! I thought it was miles away. Rapid transport really does hasten urbanisation.

I'm not sure I want the nether to work in multiplayer. :( For one thing, it's rubbish. For another, I quite like the fact that places are far away, necessitating things like boats and railway lines to get there quicker. I don't want a nether shortcut!

I'm pleased to see rail boosters getting an upgrade, though. They're a bit weedy at the moment.

I love the maps idea. It all reminds me (With grass now too, and the nerfed fire) of Far Cry 2! :P

After sampling this offline for a few hours I have decided I will be purchasing it myself either tonight or tomorrow, could I be added to the Muk server so that I can build an empire, please? My username is dannons.
