@Mawdlin I'm not saying I just play for the story. Like you say, I can get that from other mediums. Rather it's the games with a good story, or a strong setting that tend to keep me engaged for the whole thing.

From what you describe, you'd be just as happy playing Pac-man forever. 

Absolutely. Pac-Man is magnificent. Or any game with focused, beautifully designed game mechanics. And thankfully there are still plenty released every year.

 

Agree about Destiny. Largely a gash story that sort of washed over me. Still massively enjoyed the *game* though.
