Wonder what its all about. I asked if they had a copy of Blur last time I was down (last week I think it was), and they had no copies at all then. I asked if they'd sold out, to which I didnt really get a proper answer, just that they had none. Was hoping to use my instore credit on it too.

Still not had my copy yet. Probably get it tomorrow, ho hum. Was looking forward to having a blast too.

44.99? I've not paid that ever. Whats the best supermarket price for this do we know?

Blockbusters for example have the RRP for it at £49.99, but you "save" £10.00 so its £39.99. I'm guessing thats to make you feel your having a bargain though.

Local Game in Edinburgh confirmed they got no pre-order copies and only 1 shelf copy. No explanation or date for additional stock. They said all of the stores they had checked had received either a couple of or no copies.

Same goes with Singularity another Activsion game.

Oh well. Another retailer got my money.

Anyone want my Jazz code, there's ridiculous faff to go through to just get the code that I can't be bothered with. looks like every new copy comes with it anyway.

EDIT: Code gone to first claimant.

Could you expand on your "every new copy comes with it" comment? No indication of it on mine, and interested to see if there is some way I can get him.

Got mine from Game (online) who didn't advertise any offers for ordering and the 'Comes with Jazz' blurb was printed on the boxart and not a sticker so I assumed it was something that came with all new copies.

Been playing through a lot of the Decepticon campaign and so far having a blast. No arguments in that it is 'just' a shooter but it's a damn fine one with easy to get to grips with controls and fun combat. They've especially nailed the interplay between the characters and it's obvious how big of a Transformers fans the developers are. They feel exactly like the characters I remember from the cartoons and on a good few occasions been laugh out loud funny. Not tried the Autobots campaign yet and only had an hour or so on the full mutiplayer but looking forward to spending a lot more time with it.

Yeah I'm on the last Decepticon level and having a great time. Yes it' just a shooter, yes there isn't that many varieties of enemy, though far more than in other games, yes there's a hell of a lot of brown, but I find myself not caring. It's also tougher than I imagined, but nowhere near the levels some reviews I've seen suggest (one claimed to have to do one twenty times on medium difficulty, the most I've had to do is 3-4 and it has mid boss checkpoints). All the weapons I've used have been useful and I can see myself playing through this again to see how it's like playing as the different characters...ok barely any difference at all but still a laugh. It's also properly funny at times.

Megatron: Everyone in to the tunnels and try not to get hit by the trains.

Breakdown: Are you serious?

Megatron: Yes Breakdown I am known for the sparkling sense of humour.

Thundercracker: Scared Skywarp?

Skywarp: I'm not scared, you're ugly!

Thundercracker: We look the same!

In all fairness if I wasn't a TF fan I'd probably be enjoying this less, but trying to be objective it's still the kind of game I like. My 80's kid says 9, but I think it's an 8 so far on the single player alone. Will have to invest some time in the multiplayer as well.

Also in the interests of full disclosure, I bought a Decepticon logo t-shirt today. I AM A MASSIVE NERD.

Already heard the exchange between Breakdown and Soundwave during the battle with

Zeta Prime

then?

They probably wont be, as it'll be £49.99 RRP I'd of thought, being an Activision game

I quite fancy it, but I dare bet after a month it'll end up being sub £25

I recognise that forum name from a time gone past;p

You could rent it if you don't fancy forking out the 40 quid for it.

It's probably Haribo. Anyway, Activision can get fucked with this 49.99 business, sounds like a game that'll be arriving in the bins soon enough. 8 hour campaign, and the multiplayer is boring (from demo).

Breakdown to Soundwave: You are such a nerd!

So do we reckon we have enough guys to do a couple of games of this sometime? Wouldn't mind giving Escalation a go.

Completed the Decepticon campaign...AUTOBOTS ROLL OUT!

I'd be up for some multiplayer malarkey, got the game and just installing it on the hd atm. The character code thing seems a bit of a potch to be able to get Shockwave though :D

Edit: The site to redeem the code isnt even up so cant even activate Shockwave anyways :D Nevermind its up now :D

The game is still pretty basic shooter stuff, but Primus be damned, I'm lapping it up like Scrounge getting his arm* back.

They'd better have more DLC planned than just more multiplayer shenanigans though.

*: There's no other like it.
