SqueakyG
That was actually scary in parts. It makes me think Pemberton & Shearsmith should develop a new series of Tales of the Unexpected or something like it.
Darren
My wife went to bed halfway through saying "you know I don't like things like this." Leaving me to watch it alone in the dark. I got my own back though, when I woke her up by laughing out loud at Lomax's drawing. I think it was the best thing they've done since the utterly brilliant LoG Christmas special. The portmanteau format clearly suits them.
Nick R
It was great! Lots of hilarious bits... the whole Dale Winton conversation earlier on: "He wants to get back to his earlier, edgier stuff." And the recycling bin colour coding! I'm not sure which of the two kids' masks was creepier... Pagan Goat or Deformed Easter Island Statue. Did anyone else think that in the teaser for the next series, that Kelvin's name seemed to be repeated rather more than you'd expect in a normal trailer? Almost as if they want to make sure the name's clear in our heads in advance, as if it could be Significant in some way...
Nick R
Good news! http://twitter.com/#!/RadioTimes/status/59990511313891328 Confirmed: second series of Psychoville starts Thursday 5 May, 10:00pm, BBC2
SqueakyG
Bump reminder. It's on tonight. I've not seen a single lick of promotion for this. It doesn't even get any special mention in my TV guide, it's just a basic listing that I would have missed.
BrerLappin
Excellent, will be watching this
JohnC
I've only seen the first series recently. Should I watch the Christmas show before starting on the second, or is it pretty much separate?
Cthulhu Steev
I've only seen the first series recently. Should I watch the Christmas show before starting on the second, or is it pretty much separate? Halloween special? Yes, watch it first because it looks like it flows nicely into series two. Also: of course, comic sans, what else would it be? I'm looking forward very much to seeing Daisy Haggard again, a more inappropriate surname there is not.
Nick R
I've only seen the first series recently. Should I watch the Christmas show before starting on the second, or is it pretty much separate? It was a Halloween special, and yes you should watch it because it was great. Its main stories were pretty self-contained, but the ending might have some impact on the second series. Also: of course, comic sans, what else would it be?
pocket frenzy
Hold on - is there a Christmas special? Is there a second series? WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED??!!! Edit: I can stream them! All is well.

pocket frenzy
No, I was wrong, you can't download it online Why does the BBC only keep stuff for such a short time?
Pete
Did no one see this? I really enjoyed it. That thing haunting the librarian was probably the most terrifying thing I've ever ever seen. Plus some brilliant bad jokes.
Monkeyboy
I rang my dad to remind him it was on. Then promptly forgot to watch it myself.

Jack
I loved the bit where Jelly's hand comes off and the guy just straight-up segues into muttering 'fucking hell'.

Hello Goaty ♥
I dont care for the secret agents part of this new series, its a bit shit. Everyone else was on form Mr Lomax brings me to tears every time " I'm not allowed to drive yet " " It's quarter past five, already?! " It was a great opener.
KRP
The melons on the bedside table properly made me life.
SqueakyG
The librarian is great - what is that, "silent singer"? - it's terrifying! Maybe the scariest thing they've ever done.

Monkeyboy
I've watched it on iplayer now. Agree about the silent singer bit in the library. Very creepy. I saw an interview with Shearsmith where he said the line about melons and teeth was pinched directly from his mum.
Gommy
Good first episode, my only disappointment being that the silent singer was surely a role perfect for Kevin Eldon to play.
zxcvbnm
Did no one see this? I really enjoyed it. That thing haunting the librarian was probably the most terrifying thing I've ever ever seen. Plus some brilliant bad jokes. to me Silent Singer is just a twin peaks rip off.
noizu
Yeah it's very David Lynch, but it's just another nod to their influences anyway. Looking forward to seeing where they're going with it
