I might take a punt on one of these when they're eventually released. I'm used to playing Bumper Jumper in Halo 3 and rightly considered it to be the control scheme of champions. However, Bumper Jumper doesn't really work with the jetpack in Halo Reach, as you have to take your thumb off the right thumbstick in order to boost. With the other armour abilities it wasn't so much of an issue, but not being able to aim while boosting put me at a considerable disadvantage. In the end I opted for the default control scheme, which was alright, but I missed not being able to aim while jumping.

It'll be great if Razer's pad resolves these issues. The fact it's configurable means I could have LB1 Jump, LB2 Armour Ability, RB1 Melee and RB2 Reload. The only time I'd have to use the face buttons is to change weapons and grenades. It sounds pretty good... in theory (obviously I can't vouch for the quality of the pad at this point).

Sorry, am I being stupid? How would you fire?

With a set up like that it's nothing but assassinations baby!

I am extremely excited about Reach. More about Firefight 2.0 than anything, oddly enough. I love Firefight.

Yeah, I've been considering the same thing. I'd settle for a Bumper Jumper mk. 2 in Reach (AA on LB and jump on RB, melee relegated to B), but if that doesn't happen (and Bungie have been frustratingly quiet about that) then I might get one of these. Where do you actually get them from though? I can't seem to see anything but product details on their site, none on ebay, and Googling only leads to reviews.

Anyway, here's a little compilation of some MP gameplay on Asylum (Sanctuary), Haemorrhage, and a little bit of Versus Firefight.

Some screenshots too, don't know how new they are though:

Seemingly some gameplay spoilers in these so the poster accepts no responsibilty for any future enjoyment lost (not huge spoilers at all, really, but still):

Anyway, holy fuck this game looks gorgeous.

One obvious thing you can take from the multiplayer maps, is that they indicate how amazing the campaign is going to be. I mean, look at that spire thing. There's clearly going to be some awesome environments and structures in it.

There's so obviously going to be a spacewalk at some point too.

The first is fine, can't see what's a spoiler about that. It's a gorgeous image.

The second is a spoiler which I would rather have not known about. :(

Don't click the second, one folks. It would be better as a surprise.

There's so obviously going to be a spacewalk at some point too.

When Halo 2 was coming out, and they announced that one level would see you on the outside of a ship, I thought it was going to be real EVA action, like the Spartans jumping from ship to ship, as featured in one of the spin-off novels.

However, come the game's release, and it's just part of a level "outside", which meant slightly less gravity than normal - you still walked about on the ship, and aside from the skybox, you wouldn't know any different. Yet another half-arsed bit of Halo 2, I suppose.

So, yeah, proper space-walk in Reach FTW!

Yeah, sorry man. I've put more of a warning next to that one now.
