No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

Apart from the beach boss, it was never too strenuous. If I remember correctly, I did a lot better waiting in one spot near the sea and then hitting and running when she came near, rather than chase her and fall into holes. Anyway, can't wait :coffee: Ah, the hours spent carefully choosing my outfit... the pre-boss phone calls... the freeze frame finish... and "MY SPLEEN!!!" :omg:

What? No way was it too easy. The 3rd boss, that girl in the school, I needed an infinite health cheat for. Same with the final boss. And the secret boss at the very end is impossible, even with infinite health. :(

Toughest game I've played in years - and I've beaten Demon's Souls!

Also, I hope they don't censor the UK version again - bunch of idiots. Thankfully I've got a US Wii! :D

Schoolgirl, baseball girl and the last normal boss were the only ones that took me more than a couple of tries. I remember the 19th assasination mission seeming quite hard but the game kept crashing on me for that one so I've no idea how it would have panned out. Mind you it was tougher when played through again but I never bothered.

Could have done with the bloody version. I hate feeling like I'm missing out. Be interesting to see if they've rectified the problems of the original with this one.

I haven't watched any of these trailers but I read something about a 2D overworld. Someone please tell me it's true and it wasn't just someone getting confused with the 8-bit job games. Oh my god a 2D overworld would fix everything.

Yeah, the Kotaku preview said there's no overworld and it's all done through a map that indicates where and when jobs are available, with the bike turning up occasionally in mini-games.

It's No Longer "Open" World: If you liked the open world of the previous game (although some people found it small), you're going to be disappointed to hear that NMH2 sticks to a map system instead. The map system marks where story and side missions are in town and when you select one, you teleport there. To me, it didn't make the world feel small or anything (and given my drugged state, I actually really appreciate the hand-holding with regards to knowing where the next story mission is), but I can think of a few people who wanted more open world, not less.

Sounds good to me, the game needs to be as simple and arcadey as possible, the downfall of the original game was trying to make half the game awesome arcadey-fun, with the other half being a terrible GTA clone just for the sake of having a GTA clone and saying that there's an open world in the game.

I see that the original is listed as being re-released, in a double pack with Red Steel.

Does this mean some kind of crazy compilations? Let's hope so... I love compilations! But it's a good idea with both of the sequels being released this year (and probably getting more advertising compared to the originals). I never got round to NHM or Red Steel, so I might pick this up. If it's cheap!!!
