Finally getting somewhere with mine now, omg the amount of cables when you have a few consoles hooked up and this is even before I get a scart switcher - still can’t decide what to get and then I need some way to hide all of the power supplies and switches etc as im trying to get a nice clean look but still be able to play everything!

Did you find a good scart switcher yet @Shimmyhill? I’ve got one of those Joytech ones in the loft, the silver one that’s hifi unit sized, which I’m never going to use again. It’s possible to use it for component switching also.

Hey mate, I haven’t as yet - bizarrely today I acquired a very good scart cable from my other half’s dad as they are moving - the hope was there was a scart switcher ‘somewhere’ but no dice - I was looking to get something so perfect timing!

Somehow ive managed to sneak some retro stuff up to the main telly, Switch must be retro by now right!? As you can see there is a little space on the end there, perfect size of a Mega SG or Mister….

I like your TV unit. Plenty of space for consoles and easily accessible for fiddling with wires.

Thanks, it was a second hand purchase from a friends sister and part of a set - very expensive when new and is very well made - as you say perfect for consoles, my series X is behind the tv!

Currently have a couple of cubes in an Ikea Kallaz all setup and playable…

A wider shot of it in situ, I’m thinking I should probably stop with trying to get more consoles hooked up but I do need a Dreamcast and N64 setup albeit I’m trying to pick up a small CRT and put that somewhere as I can’t imagine the N64 is going to scale well - think we need to build an extension!

Its a stunner isnt it, my fave console ever and always a goal to own one since seeing it in mags back in the day!

How do you manage your cables? I’m so bad at this sort of thing that I’ve considered hiring someone to come and sort mine out!

With the Ikea units they have a back panel so I used a hole saw bit and poke the cables through that - behind the unit its a mess but out of sight….. I do use lots of Velcro strap things to tidy cables together to route them out of sight as best as possible and Velcro pads to stick things like power supplies onto the back of units etc - rather sadly I quite enjoy it and used to do it in an old IT job, its amazing the difference neatly routed cables can make in a server room etc!

I’ve never seen an orange one in person but I always thought they were the most striking and the coolest!

I could live with my cables being a mess if they were out of sight like yours!

My little arcade corner, Bar-top just out of the pic. I genuinely enjoy playing these machines, also enjoy just letting them run on attract some evenings. Loved the hubbub of the Arcade.

Would deffo buy anymore official releases.

Do you know where it comes from?

So this is my current office setup. What you can’t see is the PS5, Series X and wii which are hidden behind the television.

I’ve got an OSSC hidden in the cupboard that the N64 and GC run into. I’ve cleared a space next to the N64 for my Mega SG and Super NT which are still on back order from analogue!

I had my room all sorted, wires hidden and holes cut in units and then @Treble the temptress sold me a little CRT and everything had to move and a new master plan , very on I wanted to be able to display game on the CRT and the big screen, ideally at the same time - no idea why but it sounded cool….

It is cool….
